Can't wait until tomorrow for the start of my first CLR.  Has the lake level gone down and does Carlyle Lake have a blue green algae problem?  Just wondering in case I swallow any water.

well we got through another clr without injury or serious mishap. a good thing. now, while it is still fresh in your minds i want all of you to think of anything that might improve the event. i think the race went very well indeed and plan to have the same course (weather permitting) next year. the dinner at bretz was the best yet and i will always get our reservation for the new part. the monday through friday schedule also worked well with very little boat traffic and almost no one but us at the marina. i think everyone had fun at the awards dinner and pending a change (a sure thing) in the "theme" it will be much the same. i was thinking of having a corn hole tourney with each boat being a team. bob and mike were sure hard to beat. maybe a trophy is in order. speaking of which, i am already on the hunt for more trophies (maybe bigger ones) for next year. I know there was some interest in a night sail and i still think that would be very cool indeed, if you have never sailed at night you owe it to yourself to do so. anyway, let me know your thoughts and if we can incorporate them we will. again thanks so much for those who attended. as always it was a "hoot". fairwinds---------

HeaveToo

Have CLR on the Chesapeake Bay but not in August or July!!!!  Early June or in September.  May is one of the best months after about the 15th.  Then again, September Sailing is awesome on the Bay

Really glad you all had a good time. It's really wonderful when a bunch of ComPac guys and gals get together to have fun. Just a little note to Heavetoo - You can't have a CLR on the Chesapeake, 'cause I believe it stands for: Carlyle Lake Rendezvous!
