JERSEY SHORE TRAILER SAILERS

Finbar Beagle

At pub, worked on boat in the morning, had free lunch at Wiinters Sailing Center, researching Picnic Cats, now at the Friendly sons of the shelillelagh, Belmar NJ, honing my BBB skills with  smithwicks.

Near perfect St. Patrick's day.

Boat bottom scheduled To hit the wet on May 15.  Roller furling jib and new bow pulpit are the potential Delaying actions, along with my work travel schedule.

Looking forward to next BBB.

All the best, to you and yours, for a Happy and Safe
Saint Patrick's day.

Yes and a happy St. Paddy's day to ya as well!! In between your Smit'icks,  you must have been reading my mind as I was getting ready to restart this thread!

Today I towed my trusty 23 home from the marina to get a jump start on her spring spruce up. Hoping for an early splash, possibly the Ides of April!

Had my first Shepherds Pie tonight. Not bad...probably not the best so I look forward to trying a real homemade one.
Bottoms up!!

Bob,

And a happy birthday to the curmudgeon Barengate Bay Fleet Admiral.

Hoisting dark and stormy for you.

All the best, and many more

Fin, May I call you Fin?  Fin Baby, I can't believe your pitch!! What a great show concept!  Imagine  a surly old Italian cargo sailing clipper captain transporting cargo and passengers to and from the  not-so- sub-tropical bay of Barengate.  Where the sailors are all below average.  Follow the hi-jinx of the Captain as he grounds the mighty vessel Coin-a-purse-a-one-a, and demands 5000 clams to row his Cap.., er passengers to safety. Call it "Hooligan's Island"!

Lets talk, Fin Baby, Lets talk!

Tim,

All true, but he does know his Irish beer, and went the distance on the shepard's Pie.

And I give him much deserved credit in re-introducing me to Dark and Stormy's.

And like his compatriot Columbus, he does have a reputation of finding land often.

However, the northern Barnegat Bay (furthest from Bob's lair) is beautiful, and I believe has been Bob free for the last 3 years...

Thank you men, at ease now! Whilst we're on the subject of Dark and Stormies (not to be confused with the current Stormy in the news) let me put a pitch if for what I consider the premier ginger beer "Crabbie's original alcoholic Ginger Beer" imported from Edinburgh. Contains a nice 4.8% alcohol which means these D&S's will pack a bit more of a punch than your typical church-approved ginger beer. Not to say there's anything wrong with churchy stuff. Add the correct amount of Gosslings over ice and some fresh lime and you're in business, my friends!!
At the up and coming BBB 2018, you may find us at anchor, watching the sunset over the Barn-gat Bay sipping one of these fine rehydration yummies! Cheers!! Bottoms up!!

Nothing better then a dark & stormy on a hot summer day. Next trip to the liquor store will have a 6 pack in my cart. I know you're a PRB man but I must recommend 21st Amendments Hell or High Watermelon. It's a great beer when the mercury pushes past 90 and you want a lower alcohol beverage.

Well boys and girls, it's high time we kept this BBB ball a-rollin'.
Let's talk about dates, mates. Whatcha all think about, as a starting suggestion, 2nd or 3rd week of June, 2nd or 4th week of July, sometime in August. Let's keep in mind that we could do more than one BBB...let's keep it simple and fun! Weigh in there me hearties!!! And a Happy Easter to ya, as well!!!

Reighnman

the third weekend in June is father's day which would seem like the perfect gift to me, and daylight would be near the longest. 4th week of July I'll be in Orillia, Canada meeting my extended in-laws for an entire week!! Yes, 12hr drive plus meeting complete unrelated strangers. Please don't make me suffer knowing I'm missing a pirate adventure because I had to meet a bunch of people with no ancestral relation. Happy Easter!! Off to brunch and sailboat stalking in Chesapeake City.

I'm intentionally starting this ball rolling early so we can accommodate as many Basher's schedules as possible. Keep us posted on the 25. They are to me the most curious of all Compacs. There's one in Mariners Marina, Barnegat. Not for sale but a pretty boat just the same!

Bob,

For me and missus,

June 9
July 28
And the sep dates proposed by Kevin.

I will do best to make it down for whatever date proposed.

Happy Easter from  the Charles de Gaul Paris Hilton.  Working again, and missus not happy with me.  So time to sneak buy a Picnic Cat as long as I am in trouble already....
