Well all right, me hearties!! June 9th in the year of our Lord Two thousand and eighteen it is!! Stay tuned for details and we'll put together a final roster. I can arrange the boat slips needed and hopefully the weather will cooperate so we can do some sailing instead of that dreaded drinking, eating and laughing until our sides bust!! Can't wait!! Actual anchorage location to be announced!!

lkm

I've penciled in also.  A definite, if I'm there, I will definitely be there.

So, meet & greet (drink and eat) on Friday enening, sat-sail weather permitting, sat night on anchor, sun back to home?

Friday and Saturday are good for us, but on Sun,  I need to work a sound system gig at Monmouth Race track for the NJ Irish festival ( I provide a PA for the Mass, as the Blues Brothers would say, on a "mission from God").  So I need to bail a bit early...but all is good.

Now time to work on boat...

We understand, Brian. Buy the first round at the Tiki Bar and all will be forgiven!

Ok mates. Keeping the ball rolling here, this is my current list of the wharfrats who obviously are not concerned with tarnishing their reputation by attending the 12th annual Barnegat Bay Bash. Weigh in here, will ya? I also need to know who'll be needing a boat slip and if you want me to arrange that. In the past Allen secured his slip on his own and that's fine. Just let me know if you need me to do it.
  So, here is my list:
Yours truly   sans admiral
Kev and Lesa
Larry and family (I hope)
Ryan on his new (to him) Compac 25
Allen and Suzie
Marty who now specializes in standing rigging systems for the Volvo ocean racing boats.
Brian and shoot....how come I can't remember your wife's name??

Ok...less than 6 weeks to go!!

Bob,

That would be Ellen, almighty ruler of the boat fund assets.  Theoretically, Beatons should have us in water around May 18th.  As soon as I see Terrapin floating, I will make the reservations.

Last weekend I removed the galley, so it looks like, using liberal amounts of butter and a shoehorn, we are ready to try sleeping overnight on our 19.

Ditto. Soon as she's floating free, I'll take/make a reservation. Hoping for the same splash date around 5/18. Still need to figure out mast raising and re-rigging. Heading down tomorrow for a full day of "work".

Banegare Bay Bashers,

If OK, Ellen and I would like to invite you to join us on The Friday night, after dinner/drinks to give us your solemn guidance and approval, for our Picnic Cat renaming ceremony.

Bob, I am hoping you can pontificate.

Now to figure out a name...

Plan is to sail the 19 down, weather permitting, or if conditions are like start of last BBB, we trailer the little guy.

By the way, anyone want to buy an honorable Bauer 12?  Ellen said I need to sell it ASAP.

Brian: I'd be honored to officiate at this momentous occasion. This years bash is shaping up to be one for the

Finbar Beagle

The boss decided, we drive down with Picnic Cat on Friday, celebrate with y'all, hope chop in bay not to bad on Saturday, or missus boss may want to crew on bigger boat...sail during day and return to ramp with daylight, or more likely, street lamp light.  We will do same hotel as last time and uber it.

I am on misssion from God on that Sunday, providing sound system for Irish Mass at NJ Irish Festival, at Monmouth racetrack.

Will be tough workout for the liver that weekend.

Need to start practicing my helmanship while bailing technique...

Thanks Bob, I assume you will be wearing appropriate regalia for the ceremony.

Well though we are unable to attend (beginning to think it is a plot to avoid our company!) will be glad, while sitting at water's edge on Ocracoke, lift a glass at the appropriate time of same such renaming ceremony.

Brian, since you have brought up liver workouts and gin and tonic's are a fav for sailor types and too many can leave you immobile, , maybe Catatonic?
Heck there are Catalinas!
