No group name but I haven't spoken to the harbormaster yet about this. I'll need to get a head count as to how many slips will be needed. Over the weekend, Kevin and I discussed the possibility of moving the venue up river about a mile- better restaurant and boat slips would still be available. Stay tuned here for the most recent developments in this unfolding saga!!!

Ok, and thanks for the update.  Will try to cross the rt 37 bridge this Saturday for first time with this boat.  Mast height is @25ft.

I don't think I need Ann opening, but I am concern about boat wakes...I need a start paying attention to the tide charts.

Ok Bob and Kevin, got a question bout the ultimate slips for boats......are there floating docks there? Our little 16 doesn't always hitch up well in typical slips as can be hard to get into and out of the boat with some tides and harder to fender. Also what would you all recommend for accommodations outside of the Tice's shoal raft up night? If any hope of Susan coming it will be because we are NOT staying aboard Mas the whole time!

OBTW, Merrior now has brand spanking new floating docks so can make it easier to go by water.

I don't believe either Lattitudes or Captain's Inn has floating docks but I could be wrong. Marty had no problems tying off his 16 and getting aboard was ok. As far as accomodations, I'd have to think about that. Not sure what's available close by. but I'm sure we'll dig up something. Hope you both can make it!!

Great! Jus wanna make sure the tidal range up there doesn't leave me using a ladder to get aboard! An exceptional tidal cycle here left me having to use a line for loading some items that could not be tossed aboard. Mostly we have been spoiled by laying over on the floating docks here, but they are under construction along with the new travel lift. Susan had been soooo spoiled by the accommodations aboard Interlude it's gunna be a stretch to convince her that Mas will be fun to stay aboard. I, on the other hand, will be good to go regardless, well ...am kinda spoiled too!

I believe the tidal range was only about 12" - no problemo! I sail on the Delaware River and I have to really watch the tides, 8 1/2 feet!! Plus a current that often runs at about 4 knots! When you have the tide and the current (and throw in a nice NE breeze)... lookout! I can tell some interesting tales about when I didn't pay attention to the Delaware tides/current.

Thanx Marty! Actually my wording was not clear about our situation. The tidal range where we slip our boat is also only about a footish but recently an "exceptional" tidal fluctuation left us looking way down into our little boat! At least she was ready to sail while many others were sitting on the bottom, including Interlude!

Ladies and Gents:
  Can I get a headcount of how many and who will be attending? And..how many boat slips will be needed? Regarding the slips, I'll need the names of the boats and their owners. As I previously noted, we are toying with moving the Friday night dinner to a different place up river a bit that has better food and a nice tiki bar. I'll be visiting this week but I need an idea of how many slips are needed. The way I see it,
Me, Marty, anyone else? A launch ramp is within walking distance and we used this same place a few years ago when Elk River (Brad Cutter) and his wife L
ily attended. A wonderful couple, he and I hit it off as friends immediately and engaged in the friendly banter that is so often found here at the forum. Brad
has sinced "crossed the bar" and will be miss terribly.

It will be my wife Ellen and myself, CP19mk-2 "Galway terrapin".  I may bring boat down earlier in week if weather conditions are good.  We have yet to go below the Seaside Bridge.  We will probably comute back home (county Monmouth ) during the other nights.

Yes, Larry I've heard you and Kev are neighbors. Can't wait to see the new ship! What do you draw? Bash 2017 will be the first one with lots of deep draft vessels and I need to keep that in mind when we anchor.

Hey Bob,
I plan on doing the same as I did last year.  The Madame Z and I will be coming in on Thursday and pulling out on Monday, 4 nights.  I will be staying on the boat so we might hope the new location has some amenities (showers -shore power, ect..)
What is the name of the new marina?
