Yes. Let's get this nailed down early.

We can make that date (7/28-30) happen! If Susan comes we may look at a place to stay other than Mas so any ideas are welcome. Who knows might talk her into staying on a 16 foot boat. Gunna have to work on the cockpit accommodations though.

Are you sure the folks up there are ready for us!

One thought that came up after looking up Tice's shoal on line is the many boaters that go there and that there have been some planned events that brought thousands of folks out. Might wanna be sure that this date does not coincide with that! You guys know far more than me on this but am not inclined to share the place with several thousand power boaters!

Tis true what you speak, Rick. I'm not sure how to investigate when Tice's turns into Yahoo central but we have encountered it in the past. Our general plan, one that has worked well in the past, is to anchor well south of most of the morons. Currently there is nothing planned that I can see on the Tices Shoals Calendar.

but this could change. I'm in favor of locking in this date and let the chips fall where they will. On any nice summer weekend, the place can get crowded but usually most of the idiots don't stay overnight.

Well maybe not all of them, we are planning to stay overnight!

I have the date and am planning to be BBB bound. If for any reason there is a major event planned I am sure we will simply find our own space. Heck with an 18" draft i may just drag her up on the beach if needed!  (uh I am talking about the boat) :)

That sounds good for us Bob.
We will pencil the date in.  I will again plan to get there earlier in the week to get some more "play" time on the bay....... depending on the weather.

Date noted.

Hey, Kev!

Where'd you get that photo of me on Flushing Bay? Only I didn't have a onesie (least I don't remember!). Notice, no tiller or rudder. Just like my raft. Just went with the tide and breeze (10 years old!).

Great job setting the date early!  I got stuck with a family member in hospital last year, but I hope to be there for my newbie rum mutterings.  Having the date early let's me sail down from the northern bay extremities, with plenty of time for the expected headwind.  Sail home should be downwind...but I probably just jinxed the weather...

Same marina base?  I will probably book a few more days to see what you southerners see in of value in the lower bay.

hope my Torqeedo power house of a motor will get me under the Seaside Bridge...

All good, another St Pats under the belt, and still on first liver...no to focus again on sailing.  Not sure I can get the required mirror finish on my anchor....

Well as of today, I'm no longer a ComPac Owner :^(
But, assuming we can close on the new boat and get it moved up to forked river, I'll pencil in the date to shoot water cannons from a distance at you all until you let the ugly ducklings come over for the dingy race.  Mica wants to humiliate Bob again.

Challenge accepted!!! Tell her to start working out because I am determined not to loose this time!!
So, Larry: What are you looking to buy? Big or bigger? Of course, you are grandfathered in so even though you may find yourself Compac-less, you are welcomed to be there and I hope you are and bring the entire crew!!! Such fun last summer!
Stay tuned as the details of this epic event unfold!!!

Just exercising my right to free speech by bringing the BBB back to the front spotlight!! This is the 11th Bash so you won't want to miss this one! There's a chance that Jimmy Buffet may or may not show up for this one but we should be ready for anything!
Be there...or be square!

This is the basic drill of the last few Bashes and it has worked out fine. There is a ramp near Lattitudes but not sure of the fees. Maybe past Bashites  can enlighten me here. For those of us who require a slip, such as myself, we can reserve the slips which is within crawling distance of Lattitudes. The Breakfast at the diner is within a short drive and there are usually enough of us with cars to car pool. We have found it difficult in the past to sail to the diner as none of the Compacs seem to go to weather well on asphalt.
The sail to Tices is about 4 miles east. If you reach Portugal, you've gone too far. Make a U-turn and head back. Over nighting can be dark but be patient, as the sun usually rises early right about dawn the next morning!
