If the weather is bad I say we raft up the bar stools!

On the plus side, if the weather is not great they might cancel Floatchella and keep Tices clear of the crazies! lol

Interesting to see how the forecast for Saturday at 23:00 ranges from 1kn from the SW to 31kn from NE, and wave height from 2ft to 11ft depending on which service is picked.
Looks like they really have this forecasting thing down to a science now!
2005 Eclipse #20 - Figaro

The forecast for Saturday is: Becoming gradually lighter in the eastern sky before dawn then as the sun climbs towards it's zenith, becoming brighter still with the sky eventually becoming darker as dusk approaches culminating in the disappearance of the sun just after sunset. You can count on this one!
I plan to sail. Sometime, to somewhere, winds be danged. I've had the 23 out in 30+ knots of wind, double reefed mainsail, raingear on and had a total blast! In any event, wherever we find ourselves- looking forward to a blast of a time!!
Cheers!!

Folks, bay and wind gt the better of us today.  3.5 hours and made it just past silver bay.  I whew to change the torqee battery once ( In shelter of cactus island) and was concerned on chop passing under rt 37 bridge.

Sometime you have to call it a draw and collect yourself for the next one.

Looking into plan C, to get the boat down.  Plan B has my admiral, Ellen, on barstool with the rest of you tomorrow night.

We will see you at dinner.  There may be a 12 green Bauer behind my Subaru...

Plan C, Friday  light morning winds from north, will push us to BBB, we will surf the waves...wind is in the almost correct direction.

Try # 2-Friday morning.

Wife and I met Alan and Madame at slip.  I need to show him what a working Barnegat anchor looks like...bent and crusty....

All good,

Well, Pegasus was ready to fly. Even got a 40 dollar snap-shackle! All preparations prepared ('cept food - get the vittles from WaWa on the way down. But... for a number reasons, ain't gonna be there! I hope that all that do make it have a great time. Go easy on those dark and stormies! I'll miss you guys and hope to see ya at 2017.01.

Marty K.

P.S. Regarding the .01, Bristol Borough now has its floating docks. They're really great. Hope they can handle the ice! They run parallel with the 50+ foot deep channel. Also, by .01, the new micro-brewery might be operational.

Uck.  ECMWF looks to be the winner so far.  I'll continue to follow, but if forecast doesn't change, I'll come for the bar, and Crew for someone if they want to romp in the waves, but winds gusting up to almost 50kn overnight doesn't sound ideal for rafting to anchor.   So, Lexi and Kids will be staying home.

On the PredictWind page wind speeds have come down(a bit) so maybe that's a good sign?
So dinner is on for tonight at the Captain's Inn Tiki Bar!
Question is who do we still have coming?

We Have:
Alan
Larry
Brian/Ellen
Kevin/Lesa
Bob/Linda?

Reighnman? ....Anyone else?
