Mike: I had the feeling you were lurking. If you can't sail with us, why not bring your dad to Lattitudes on Friday night? We have not discussed a time for dinner but I'm thinking around 6:30. In any event, maybe we can get together for a post BBB gathering at Tice's in the fall. Stay tuned for more!

Bob,

Thanks for the invite.  I'll try to make dinner, but I have to play it "by ear", as Dad has some OK days and some bad days that I can't predict.  So, I'll keep lurking here for dinner times, etc, and maybe if I can't make it Friday, I could see y'all on Sat morning, or help Larry get launched when he arrives later.  Take care,

Mike, Pleeze come. Hopefully, you can join us for dinner Friday or breakfast Saturday.

As far as the "crazy wind" goes... it didn't put a damper on our little gathering. We certainly had fun anyway. Kevin, Bob and Larry were good company... and, hey, you've seen the video's.

Marty K.

P.S. 92! That's great. I'm only 18 years from that.

Bashers: I know we can't really rely on the long range weather forecasts but ours is shaping up nicely for the weekend of the 19th! The nice thing about the Bash is because of the small numbers, we can decide some of the details on the fly. Breakfast on Saturday? We can talk about that at dinner Friday night. Departure time for Tice's on Saturday? We can decide that over breakfast. See what I mean about loosely organized? Looking forward to seeing you all. Here's the roster as I understand it:
Marty and Pegasus (16)  In a slip
Kevin and Tetra (23)  He's got his own slip
Me and Koinonia (23)  Also in a slip
Allen and Madame Z (Eclipse)  In a slip, me thinks. Is Susy accompanying you?

I'm still hoping that Brian, Frank, Rick, Larry and Mike can join us in some kind of cameo appearance. There is a rumor that that Admirals Linda and Lesa may join us via land whilst we are at Tice's but like most rumors, it remains to be seen if this will evolve into actual fact. Hope so!

Finbar Beagle

Bob, I am now planning to get early start on Sat morning, aim to clear rt 37 bridge by 11-ish and striking distance to Tices @ 3pm,

Well that is plan A.  My 84 year old Mom is in surgery on Friday....

Plan B, has me towing my little Bauer 12 to the ramp and at least seeing the fleet off on Sat morning

Not worth mentioning other options, they involve mainly eating and waving from dock...

Keep tuned...

Well Brian, if you come over late expect to find us south of all the usual mayhem. I fly a large American flag from my backstay. We may all be rafted up. Hope to see you there.

Hi Bob,
My plan is to be at Southwinds by noon on Thursday and stay in a slip through Monday morning.  Suzie will not be able to join us for this event but looks forward to the MWG.

Well, we will miss Suzie and the way time flies, the MWG is just around the corner. Have you spoken to Sean the harbormaster?

Hi Bob,
I called Southwinds and spoke with a gal their.  She insisted that I book the slips online.  I did so and that worked fine. I'm arriving on the 18th and staying 4 nights.
Do you know what is the best anchor polish is?

Kev, your nails look marvelous! Who does them???? Hahahahaha!!!!!
Allen: That's strange....I'll call Sean today. I didn't do anything online last year and he spoke nothing about that last week. I start out with a rubbing compound for my anchor, move up to 3M polish/cleaner finally getting the proper shine with Jewelers Rouge before applying 9 coats of Collinite marine wax. And still my anchor pales next to yours...

Bob23

Ok...3 slips have been secured. Slips T4, T5 and T6. Myself, Marty and Allen. I'll be arriving up there somewhere around mid day Friday to help anyone and arrange reservations at Latitudes for dinner. There is a rumor that Admirals Lesa and Linda will be joining us so try, try, try to be on your best behavior.
Looking forward to seeing you Compac-o-nauts!

Eagleye

That sounds good Bob.  I hope to be in the water by noon on Thursday and get a short sail in that afternoon.  Sean also emailed me my slip #.....T6.   I'll give you a call at some point.

Thanks,
Allen

That's great, Allen.  Hat's off to Sean at Southwinds Marina for being so helpful and accommodating. I will not be up there on Thursday but I will appear on Friday around mid day of the boss lets me off.
