Well if we can we will just have to crash this little party! Will have to have a long block as we will come by boat. It is a boat oriented gathering right! :)

oh Bob we can be somewhat flexible as well. In fact if the Tangier trip happens, we will then have to turn around to head to Ocracoke for a couple weeks or so after the crazy weekend is over. Then it will be trying to head up there. Going up the bay to the C&D canal would be an interesting trip. Are there any bridge clearances we would have to be concerned with? 30ish and under?

When are you thinking of heading this way? Know you have kicked around the Chesapeake cruise things for a while. Spring or fall right!?

Just getting around to seeing this, Rick. Indeed, the BBB is a very loosely organized (or highly disorganized) gathering of us Compac-o-nauts and those who wish they were. Think of the CBMWG multiplied and on the water for multi days.
It's a pretty long sail from where you are and I don't have info on bridge clearances. I'd imagine once you found yourself in Cape May, NJ, you could sail outside to either Beach Haven inlet and then take the ICW up to Tice's shoals or come in Barnegat Inlet which is pretty close to Tice's. For more info on the BBB, check out some of the previous threads.
Cheers! Hey: I just remembered we owe each other a Guinness!!!!

I thought it was the port you so greedily slurped the last few ounces of.

So cruel you are. I savored the last few drops...and right in front of everyone! What nerve! You'd think I was from NJ!!!!

Revisiting this thread, the tentative dates are still set for June 24th through June 26th. Since we are so far off, there is still time to adjust to the benefit of the populous of attendees. Don't let the opportunity pass you by to attend this epic event. More coming...

Bob,
Those dates still work for me.

Ok...looks like a blew it big time here. Well, not really me but my niece who decided her wedding is more important than the BBB 2016! Can you believe she had the nerve to schedule her wedding the same weekend? I mean...where is her sense of priority!!!!!
Looks like I'll be in New York State somewhere at her wedding on June 25th. What other alternate dates will work for you fellers? So sorry about this. I'll disown her right after the wedding.

Hey, stuff happens, right?

I couldn't make it on the original date anyway, as I'll be in Florida from June 25 to July 10th (sweating profusely).
So, as for possible alternate dates that work for me, I'll throw out a few weekends surrounding the original dates:

June 4,5
June 11,12
June 18,19 (The 19th is Father's day however).
July 16,17
July 23,24

And I will be solo sailing again on my Precision 21, so if anyone would need a ride to Tice's and a bunk, let me know!

The last weekend in July is good!

The last weekend in July may conflict with the tail end of the CLR. Depending on how long I stay out there, what I'm towing and how long it takes to get back to NJ, it could work. Lets come up with a few dates that work for most of us. Sorry for this last minute wrench!

As it turns out, my niece's daughter is graduating on the June 24 weekend so that would have been difficult.  Anytime in July or August looks good for me.

Methinks that any weekend in July or August is okay with me. I would think that the later we have it, the warmer the ocean and bay will be. And what about congestion? How crowded will Tice's be with stinkpots? I know Bob won't mind rowing a couple of miles from an anchorage to the island. My wimpy right arm might cause me to row in circles!

July works better for me anyway....no worries. :)
