Hello Bob23,

No Mas here. I have the gathering on our calendar as well as another scheduled earlier possible conflict. How late may we let you know if we can make it? Will try to rearrange things. Would love to meet everyone and the venue looks fabulous but we can only have our status as "interested" as this point.

Also hear you are coming down to the first CBMWG later that same month. Regardless looking forward to meeting all. PeterG and myself had a preliminary Chesapeake Bay get together a few weeks ago. Was great to hook up with another CPr.

Barring nuclear war, I will be down to the, what's it called? CBMWG...yup, that's it. I may be arriving with Peter so if you plan to shoot, aim for the ugly one!!! Hahaha!!!
I'm gonna call Moshulu tomorrow and make tentative reservations for 16, being optimistic that you'll be there. I'd say if you can let me know the first thing next year, that should be enough time.
Sorry, they don't serve PBR.

uh....we noticed they don't serve PBR......it was one of the factors in our decision to try and make it. We didn't want to have to be diving for the beer! (mesh bag, no tether)
:)

P.S. anyone interested in a tour of the New Jersey? Just across the mooring from Moshulu isn't she? Also what are folks doing for accommodations?

Oh well she is closed for January.

I'm not sure what anyone is doing for accommodations. We are just driving back to the hacienda de loco. We only live on the other side of the state! Less than an hour and a half. Although, staying over isn't a bad idea- we all know how much the Admiral can drink once she gets going!!! Hahaha!!!!

Mas

We gotta bout a 4 1/2 hour trip with no traffic. Not gunna make it back that day!

They have any bunks on this ship?

There are probably lots of homeless on the streets of Philly. Maybe you could stay with them!

Mas

Not if we go smelling like PBR!

Bound to be a cool dig down near the wharf. I mean this is a sailors gathering for cryin out loud.

Ok, enough of this Tomfoolery! This is serious Compac business. I called Moshulu and they can seat all 16 of us, that's 16 if the 4 undecided decide to decide. I heard through the grapevine that the famous K3v1n and his bride Lesa plan to attend so now it's just up to No Mas to decide. I was thinking of a brunch, around 1pm ish but I value your imput. (Even though I won't listen to a thing you say!!!) Does that work for everyone or most of us? What say ye, merry gentlemen?  We could do lunch earlier or a later dinner. In the past, we've done both and had a blast of a time either way. I don't need to make a firm commitment until after the first of the year so we have some time yet. I plan to drive out there during the Christmas break and personally select a table location. Remember, this is a restored ship with a working gang plank and I hope I won't need send anyone over the side who steps out of line.

Looking forward to this 4th annual gathering- it will be the biggest yet!!!!!
For the cause,
Bob23

"Ah it's elementary you know!

Looking into lodging nearby, gotta assume others will be needing lodging as well unless everyone lives close! anyone else in the "same boat"?
