Shout-out to LKM -

Larry,

Tried PMing you but it didn't seem to work. Hopefully you and your girls will make up to Bucks County Saturday to feast with the rest of us Salts at the King George II in Bristol. If not, we'll miss you for sure. Hope you guys have a great New Year.

I've received an email from Brad informing me that he and Lily will not attend the MWG due to some illness he is dealing with. I will miss them not being there. We became instant friends at the BBB 2014 and I enjoy our constant ribbing of each other. I know deep down he wishes he was from Joisey, as he pronounces it.
So if Larry doesn't respond, it's down to 10 of us. I'm looking forward to this epic event and it'll be nice to catch up with old friends.

Bob:

Thanks for the kind words.  I know that it is difficult for you to hold your tongue, but did you have to hold it in your lap after biting it off when you reread the words you had written?!  Hopefully, your reattachment operation went smoothly!  When did I ever say I wished I was from Joisey when being a Baystater originally I had the opportunity to pahk my cah in Hahvad yahd??  A vivid imagination you have down there in the wilted Garden State!!  Lily and I do enjoy the shorter, milder winters here in Maryland, I must say.  We will miss you folks at the MWG, but I feel that we should be able to make it to the BBB 2016.  My last year's HOTCR was a little early in March, perhaps April or May would be a better timeframe for folks.  I'll work on that.

Bob:

Pertaining to the above, you wondered how you were going to heckle me, so I thought it prudent to fire the first salvo across your bow to get my range, so to speak.

The countdown has begun! The King George II Inn in Bristol Boro, PA has been warned of our pending arrival. Some possibly helpful info:

Coming via the PATP - Get off at the Bristol/Levittown exit and head South on Bristol Pike (US13). Take the Jug-handle to Bath Street. Follow Bath Street to the "T" and bear Left. On the green light, continue on Mill Street (Bristol's main business street with most all the shops and joints) to the end. Continue past the KGII toward the Delaware River and the Wharf. Please turn right to get to the large free munincipal parking lot (close metered parking is available on Mill and Radcliffe Streets).

Coming from New Jersey via the NJTP - same as above!

Coming from New Jersey via the Burlington-Bristol Bridge and Rt 413 - Take the first Right onto Otter Street (Old Route 13) and continue on to turn Right on Mill Street.

Any questions, please feel free to call me on my cell at 267-242-4678.

See ya soon!

Marty K.

P.S. Once again, I can almost walk to the MWG! Ha, ha. I know, my turn will come. But, gas is less than 2 bucks a gallon!
P.P.S. A walk along Mill Street past the KGII and north on Radcliffe Street will prove rewarding (weather permitting). The mostly 18th and 19th Century architecture is wonderful to view.
P.P.P.S. Per our glorious Commodore: "I have called and made a lunch reservation for the 10 of us for 12:30 pm Saturday January 16th in the year of our Lord 2016."

Marty has done a tremendous amount of legwork to insure that this, the 4th annual Mid Winter Gathering of the East Coast Compac=o-nauts is a success so we all should thank him! Thanks, Mr. Volvo for all the work you've done. And yes, your time will come!!!

Same here. Just to ease my mind I called to make sure that we are still on their schedule. The reservation is under my name and we are upstairs, with a river view. Cheers, me hearties!

okay, So I just notice a picture with a Henry Every, a yacht ensign, and a Compac burgee.  That is an odd arrangement of flags.

I hope that you all have a good time.  I hope that a few of you filter down to the Chesapeake gathering in a few weeks.

I got very tired of people flying or using my flag.  I had several flags over the years per boat.

Since everyone if flying pirate flags these days I went further back in history and took one from my ancestors:
