So Lesa drove by Maggie's on the way home from dropping the daughter off at school. She said the place looked great but it was very very busy. Bob you might want to look into reservations perhaps. :)

Yes, I'm afraid you would.  By the way, I cancelled all my CC and DC so you can just forget about me funding your felonious ways! ????

Bob23

Yes Kev, those were my intentions. As soon as we have a total head count.
Tim, no worries. Vicki stole all your cash and handed it to me at the CBMWG! Touche, my friend!

Au contraire, mon ami.  Her money is her money and my money is her money.
Doubtful, Doubtful.

C'est la vie, mon admiral!

Exactly! When she gave me your money, she kept her own for herself! Doncha get it??
Wish you both could be at this epic gathering but it was so wonderful to see you at the CBMWG. I haven't forgotten about a trip to SML.

Bob, I would be washing dishes for several weeks as the boss sends me out with mostly empty pockets when it comes to anything sailing. Last time I took her on a Sunday drive we "happened" to end up at a Yamaha dealer and purchased a 4hp leftover! Might have to resort to my Irish Goodbye skills for this event.

Ok, here is the status of Rick and Susan. We were out of town (driving hours) this past weekend for another type of FAMWG (really it was the fifth year this party has happened!), will be attending an event we first thought might interfere with FAMWG this coming weekend (driving hours), the weekend of the 17-19th we are back at boat for Sock Burning Party (driving hours) and Susan is beginning to tire of all of the lets drive yet again another weekend plan. Is there a train station nearby Maggie's? also since it is a several hour trip for us are there any easy places to stay? I am working the "wow, look at all of these opportunities" line of logic with her right now and I am hopeful (or maybe solo)

OBTW maybe I missed it but are we talking lunch or dinner?

On a side note: We usually are not all this crazy busy with weekend plans every weekend but this has been the 'perfect storm' for events. We are hosting out of town friends on the 24-26th so literally every weekend is booked, and since the beginning of February we have had but one weekend not traveling. Might as well make it a clean sweep is my attitude!

I just stumbled over this thread.  If they serve PBR, I'll be there!

If they don't serve it, I'll smuggle it in!

Mas

Ok Bob, unless things change you might wanna make sure you can keep that promise on the PBR! Wayne and I are planning to come without our better halves. I would like to lobby for a similar time frame to CBMWG which was a 1 o'clock meet time.

Rick, that was my thought exactly. Mates: I still need a semi final head count. As it stands, we plan to invade Maggies at approximately 1300 hours local time. I will attempt to secure the 2nd floor deck for us. Who's with me!!!
Bob23
(ps. If you were at the recent CBMWG, this event, while being the original Mid Winter gathering, will in no way eclipse the wonder time we had in Virginia. But we'll give it a good shot. And yes, if they do they do not carry PBR, I will risk life and limb to smuggle some in!)

Wayne J

If they don't have PBR, suitable subs are Schlitz, Piels, Riengold, Schaefer or Ballantine.

A few notes:
There is no substitute for PBR.
I am calling Maggies tomorrow to reserve the upstairs room for 12 people, 1300 hours local time on 3/11/2017 . I'm sure we can add a few more stragglers as they come washing in with the tide!
So, I'm still asking for a head count. Who's in?

PS. On a side note: Rick, I begun researching a sail across the pond for when we get that PSC. I'm thinking the southern route, no icebergs! :D

Well let's see, umm....Rick and Wayne, that'll be 2!

As far as beer for me, with over 60 taps, i suspect i will be just fine.  :)

Meanwhile this is kinda CBMWG meets FAMWG thus guess it is CBMWGMFAMWG which kinda means that our 2/11 event was FAMWGMCBMWG or more simply another MWG excuse to get together with like minded folks who share a love of small craft, Compac craft to be exact, oh and beer!
