Looking forward to seeing you both again! In other breaking news, the Flicka in Weems has been taken off the market. Whew!! What a relief; another decision that's been made for me!!
This is shaping up to be quite an epic event given the number of "characters" who'll be in attendance!!

Phyllis and I look forward to meeting all the cast of characters.

We are staying at the Atherston B&B in Urbanna, VA.

Susan and I are looking forward to continuing the fellowship that the return to sailing began last year. Oh Bob, there seems to be a Dana that may be for sale........!

Tim wanted to move this information to a new sticky which is a good idea but lets keep the lead up and any follow up discussion here so that we don't have two parallel threads with the particulars soon to be buried again! Which is easy to happen with this group!

So again we have:

When-    2/11/17    12:30
Where-   https://www.rroysters.com/restaurants/merroir
What-     Food, drink, fellowship

Final list is looking like: *indicates RSVP'd  for more foolishness at Pedro and Beckys..

*Kevin and Lesa
*Tim and Vicki
*Pedro and Becky
*Bob and his Porche!
Wayne and Phylis
Matt and his wife (Matt not sure i have ever known her name?)
*Susan and myself

RSVP Pedro & Becky as well on their gracious invite to come by their home  at 7ish for more merriment if ya haven't so far. Hmmm that would be Wayne and Phylis and Matt and his wife. We can all help Pedro try to set the neighborhood on fire by helping him with that "redneck" fire barrel!

Cu all there!  :)

All right up way tooooo early with the wind just howling up on the mountain here at Wintergreen. Thought someone was knocking but was just a downed branch hitting up against the patio door. Lifts will have issues with this if it doesn't abate. I was gunna head home anyway today. Legs are worn out,

Well up now so........

I know we will be discussing many things at CBMWG and we are staying many different places but was curious if any folks are up for getting a group of us together on Sunday before we all head home to possibly visit the maritime museum there, maybe visit a marina or two, look for the Presidential yacht Sequoia.....Kevin you are correct the weather, at least at this time, is looking pretty spectacular especially for Sunday. I know we will be lingering some.....

Aren't we gonna keep drinking on Sunday??
Dunno...I have a 6 hour drive back so I'll play it by ear. But it sounds like a nice idea. I have no reason to rush home anyway. I'd love to see Sequoia! And who wouldn't want to wander through a marina!
Bob23..I shall go Flicka-less!

It's going to be nice leaving all this snow up here to go south to dry ground and warmth. As for Sunday we have that long ride home via Philly to pick up the other car from my daughter at school. Probally need to be on the road by noon headed back north. :(

Bob, you were gunna go home Flicka-Less anyway, but maybe not without Flicka in your future. Keep heart it was not sold just pulled from market. I actually decided to reach out to the owner myself since he lives so close to our marina. We had a great exchange and now have each others emails, phone numbers and addresses. (Who knows maybe at CBMSG Bob23 can catch a sail on her if timing works!) He is still going to acquire a larger craft more than likely after this season. That's perfect Bob, this gives you the time to sell off some of your fleet and be ready when she comes back on the market. I will encourage Scott, the owner, to reach out first before listing her so that our favorite Bob23 can be ready for his Friend Flicka! It also allows Bob time to find lodging here for the potential southern migration that may be necessary after a purchase. It is what friends are for!

Kevin, glad you guys can escape the snow. We could use some of it up here on the mountain. It's been a tough stretch lately to keep the snow we have. Guess "Southern Skiing" is kind of an oxymoron, hmmm what does that make "Northern Sailing"?

Wayne and Heave hope you guys can find your way over to Pedro and Becky's for a bit. They are great folks and you can glimpse your future (under his boat shed) if you ever give up sailing!  :)

Glad it is looking nice for everyone's visit.

I've actually decided to sell all my boats, bicycles, tools and every other worldly possession, quit working and become a Trappist monk where I can pray, make and drink Belgium ale all day and sing!! The 3 Philosophers were looking for a 4th and I was hired! Such a deal!!!
Bob23

Mas

Well Brother Bob that's perfect as the below decks on a Flicka are just about the same space as a Trappist monk's cell in a monastery! Now if you can just find a slip at a brewery......

We got some beers that are owed to each other, I think i remember something about 3 months worth being discussed somewhere in this four month lead up!

We are looking forward to everyone's company. Many changes since CBMWG 1.0.  :)

Hmm. A slip in a brewery...this is starting to make sense.
Found a new beer. Check out "Old Engine Oil" which is a  black ale! I can only find it locally at one restaurant. It's from Scotland! Hmmm...can one sail a Flicka to Scotland?
Bob23

Tim Gardner

Gaaaaaasp! old engine oil?   pshaaawww!

Sure you can, and it also sounds like you could use the beer for running the diesel! Though not sure why someone would do that.  :)

.....or you could simply fly over and purchase http://www.flicka20.com/flickas/flickaid/2/flickaname/Caraway  Be sure to read about her voyages, quite the history.

...seems like you might need to bring one of those ale's for Tim to help his palate! Tell ya what, bring a sixer and i will pick something as well. Pedro may never get rid of us.
