Wrinkles is our new 1988 CP 23/3.   Here are a some pics.  She is also the boat pictured on the  23/3 brochure.

Roller fuller, cockpit cushions, bimini, vang, etc..  Very original i.e. no owner modifications. Nice little cruiser.

More later.  Gotta go get the trailer prepped.

Mike - that is a beautiful boat. Congratulations! I am really sorry to lose you from the ranks of 19ers though. I have always enjoyed and learned a lot from your posts. Very inspiring as I renovated my own 1988 CP19.

Speaking of which, it is amazing how similar your 19 is to mine - they look identical. Yet mine is supposedly a 19/3. My hull number is 453, so the model must have changed that year. Wonder what the difference is?

Hope you have no regrets. I tracked down one of the previous owners of Bella, who told me he traded up to a larger boat but that the 19 "was always my wife's favorite boat." He sounded a little rueful.

Congrats!  Very, very  nice CP23 and love the boat name.  She sure went to a good home.

Fix her up nice so when you get a Dana you can sell me your 23 :) Might even keep the name.

I might have the brochure with your boat on it too!  Do you need one?

Thanks Salty.  I am driving down this weekend to finalize the inspection and take her out for a sail or two.  I'll see if the owner has a brochure already.  If they don't, I'll take you up on that offer.  A sailing buddy was dumb enough to agree to riding along with me to Florida, so the trip should be fun.

In about 2 years we will be looking for that Dana 24, but we have a lot to learn before we take that step.

great looking boat.. looking forward to seeing what improvements you add..  I am sure that some of them will be an inspiration for the rest of us!    have fun on the sail this weekend..   where are you located?  jt

We currently live near Madison, WI.  In about 18 to 24 months we plan to move down to our condo in Orange Beach / Gulf Shores.

There is at least one other 23 in our area,  but we have never met the owner.

Just got a call from Mike.  He made it to Florida and the boat is everything represented and more!!  Unfortunately our cold wind and weather followed him down.  Doesn't sound like he will pull it out until Monday.  Won't leave much time for sailing down there. Then he will head home with my Valentine's present!  Not every girl gets a new sailboat for Valentine's Day!

Welcome to our world!  Great looking 23 you found.  I've seen it at our marina.  If Mike needs any help from an old retired guy in Dunedin, shoot me a note.
