You all are my witnesses.  Bob has accepted my terms for a rowing race at the CLR 2012 .  If he fails to show up, I win!  Yeah me - free Drambuie!

Mike and Brenda,

LOVE the boat name but the graphic doesn't quite do it for me.  Just an opinion.

Check out boatus.com for font ideas, maybe there is a cool wrinkly font what would look good??

Not so fast. Take a good look at the bow of this boat. It'll be the last time you see it. Oh, yeah...I can just taste that cold Pabst going down as I wait for YOU at the finish! And what will be sweeter? The Tequilla or the victory?

Bob23
I guess I gotta come all the way out there this year! Price-o'-gas be damned!

Talkin' boat smack now.  What you don't realize is that my dinghy "Squint" has the new cutting edge hull shape of a flat piece of plywood with a slight upward bend at the bow.  That along with my finely crafted oars which are REAL 2 x 4's cut and sanded to perfection in under 1 hour including fiberglassing time.  So, shake in your boots Mr. Fancy dinghy.

High noon at Carlyle Lake!

Ooooo...I'm shakin' in my Converse! Hey wait: You didn't tell my your oars were made from Real 2x4's. That's not fair...all I have a 9 1/2' spruce oars.
High noon it is! I can just taste that Tequila now. Good thing...I just ran out last week.

Dream Team Greene vs.  Noisy Joisey!  Place your bets!!!

My money is on Noisy Joisey...that boats looks quick.  Will there be a handicap in this race? Besides the obvious ones     :)

Bob,  Since you have posted the picture of your craft, as has Mike,  I propose you row them EXACTLY as they are pictured.  That  is only fair, considering all the smack talk, bragging  and spruce boorishness.  'Should have you going in circles with your starboard oar backwards.

True, Tim, it is harder that way. But I want to give MG a fighting chance!

(Maybe I should row my Walker Bay 8 instead. Truthfully, if the economy gets any worse, I may compete in a kids blow-up pool!)

Hi how r u, i am new to this site! I have an 87 23 11 still has orginal plastic rap on stove, sink has never been used inside in mint orginal condition has the small round port holes. Has been motored more than sailed. Teak has been well maintained. Not going to find a boat like this in any better orginal condition. Only thing changed was the brown stripe  changed to a hunter green color and matching main sail cover. While being stored sails where removed and stored inside and boat was covered completely. Has 8hp suzuki 2 stroke well maintained through the years and still runs like a champ. Has fixed keel and has galvinised trailer as well maintained as the boat.  Also has never been in salt water, started out on Smith Mountain Lake. I bought it new there. Don"t have any pics yet in process of moving it. Have someone very intersted in buying not sure If I  want to sell it, alot of sentimental value attached. Just curious to see what it might be worth. I cant find any boats like this one any where to compare it to even called com pac factory to get help just got run around. Wondering if  you might know or if anyone would know where to look to find out this info.

                                                                                                              Thanks

Jimmy,

Your boat is worth between 5400 & 6200 plus 1000 for the trailer if it is in very good condition.  Is the boat still at SML? If so I could take a look and give you an exact value.

Ha thanks for the info. No not on sml yet getting ready to move up there as soon as I sell a house. Also have a 25ft catilina late 70s model Im putting back together now. Also not sure if i wanted both up there guess I wil now.  So at that price I will more than likely keep it! Has yours been up there? Nice Lake for sailing. Love it up there!

             Thanks

Paaaahleeeeze!  Bob may be the obvious underdog in equipment and ability in this match race, but I'm not spotting him a handicap.

By the Mr. Salty, thanks for the faith and support.  You've never met Bob and you back him in this race.  I take back all the nice things I've said about you.  Wait a minute.   I've  never said anything nice about you.  Never mind.
