Long term forecast says 3/3 will be nice - mid sixties with brilliant sunshine.
Tis good for me.

Oh nice!!! Go ahead and cancel on us...what a wimp!!! ;)

Hmmm......seems to me I was not the one who cancelled! CBMWG 3.0 happened as planned. It was just lightly attended but heavily enjoyed! We hung around boats in the yard (sunny weather) till it got cloudy then we retired to lamb and clam, grilled tuna, drinks and telling stories about everyone not in attendance, which meant we had a lot of stories. :)

Will have to play those dates by ear as promised a new Compac owner I would help her fetch her new to her 16 one of those weekends. Meanwhile we are still in winter mode and the fun that goes with it!

Well, you do have a point there Rick. It did indeed happen just as planned. Seems like the forecast was a bit off. Let me know if you're interesting in a version 2.0 otherwise, CBMWG will go down in the history books.
Hmm...stories, eh? Thought my ears were buzzing!!

March 3rd works for me too, but I'm flexible on the date.

Well another beautiful day down at Regent Point Marina. The rain began late afternoon yesterday and was done by late evening.
It def was a cold rain but was snuggled in with a good book and woke up to sun. Will look at the ole calendar for a possible CBMWG 3.1 but CBMWG 3.0 has come and gone. It will be impossible to pick a date more than a couple days out with guaranteed great weather as even yesterday kept having the forecast change and ended up on the balance sheet a nice day. Will look at those days in March but as mentioned have made a promise to help a new Compac owner go fetch her boat on one of the two weekends folks keep throwing out there. Whichever works best for her schedule will need to be the deciding factor.

Meanwhile CBMWG 3.0 did happen and Pedro and i talked sailboats and absentee folks! Have included a couple pics including MFF of which there had been discussion at last years event. Her current owners saw her and met the previous owner at CBMSG 2.0. She now sits in the yard at Regent awaiting to return to the same dock we are on in the spring. It also appears that yet again another boat will end up at Regent as the new 16's owner is seriously considering such!

Yup it is called stacking the dock.  :)

Hmmmm.....March is tough, the 3rd is out for sure as I have a Yacht Club Bridge meeting to attend. Maybe a CBESG in April. (Chesapeake Bay Early Spring Gathering) :D

As far as I can see, I'll be there- PBR in tow!

Mas

Well folks there is no reason that you shouldn't come visit even though CBMWG happened!  We all know there is no way to guarantee beautiful weather in advance and this boy will only be going down from now on with good weather so work can get accomplished as we get closer to the sailing season. We usually never go on a weekend unless it is for an event, such as last weekend.  :)

I cannot commit to any dates at present as have some promises to keep that involve the weekends being discussed. We are going to play the 3/17 Sock burning Party by ear to see if good weather. It is an outdoors event and also since we live some hours away from our boat wanna accomplish some work as well. It does have all of our usual requirements for fun, a brewery bringing their beer, oysters from the local waters, seafood from a local company, music, lots of like minded folks and a wonderful sail loft company as a host. (They have made sails for the Coast Guard tall ship Eagle as well) It is also St. Patrick's day so.........

You guys don't need us there to have a good time, we certainly didn't let everyone's absence impair our good times! Hope we can find an excuse to see everyone as always great to hang with such fine folks.  Got 8/4/18 in my calendar.

Now there is also the idea of folks coming to "the center of the known universe" where we live. No boats, but a buzzilion breweries, wineries, distilleries, great restaurants, music and much to see and do. Charlottesville can be a bit crazy on festival or game weekends but a fun town regardless. Plus we live there! Well just west of town up against the Shenandoah National Park. So maybe a Charlottesville Brewery Music Wine Gathering?

Meanwhile getting a little late season skiing in. Am not ready for it to be warm yet, it'll be warm soon enough.  :)

Not trying to overthrow or hijack the CBMWG or anything of the nature but it would be nice to share a PBR or 2 with the lower latitude crew. Let's keep it out there and see what happens.
