Rick: Can you brew Wayne and I a PBR knockoff?

We love you both but we don't have access to the ingredients: Pabst Blue Ribbon contains GMO corn and GMO corn syrup. We only use organic cane.  :)

So talk about thread drift.......I did keep the topic CBMWG just kinda shifted the acronym and as a result we now are off of boats and on to beer. They both start with B! I still think you all otta come to the Center of the Known Universe and we can discuss the B's of life!

Up uber early to be on the road to DC and hopefully beat the crazy traffic up there, don't see how folks do it on a regular basis. Meanwhile is there any interest in a Charlottesville Brewery Music Wine Gathering?

What in the world is Whitehall? Are you rowing a Whitehall, Wayne!

Tim Gardner

I lived in a Greathouse in Jamaica called Whitehall.  Good times. But missed my family.

Mr. Bob........u gunna need to orient ourself to the center of the known universe. We live in Whitehall! Charlottesville is just down the road east of us, Shenandoah National Park is literally our western neighbor. Here is a little pic from our place looking towards the park. (yes that is really snow!)

Got it. Such lovely snow just begging to be cross country skied! You almost have it all: Beer, snow...but no salt water!

Yeah that's one of the reason why we have Interlude, so we can go find salt water! Meanwhile we can always try to encourage "old salts" like yourself (not that I'm calling you old!) to come visit. We do have our little 16 sitting here waiting for spring so at least we can go sit in her cockpit and pretend if we need to. Still think everyone otta head here for a gathering. Wayne is already trying to get here, though the 10th may not work. Will know about which days I'm helping someone get her boat in next few days. Will also keep folks appraised if we are heading down to Regent anytime soon but you don't need us to visit Pedroville, in fact may lobby to have Pedro head here.

Wish the snow was still here but long gone. :(

Well winter made a return, and so we returned to our mountain for the truly last skiing and boarding for the year, as Wintergreen will be done with the snow thing until next year. So who cares you may say....well it does mean we are gunna see the season out till last day which is now March 18. We are more than likely not going to return to Regent Point and our boat till after St. Paddies day. Guess we should be focusing upon CBMSG 3.0 as it will be here before ya know it!

I had also mentioned helping a new Compac 16 owner to go fetch her boat in the near future and she still is going to get her but the little 16 was demasted in the last storm that brought 80 mph wind gusts. She was left on a lift with the mainsail still on under a cover. The wind ripped off the cover then ripped the main sail and it appears from the pics she sent me that the port side stay let go. More than likely from what i can see the port stay backed out of the turnbuckle but until I can see it up close not sure. Regardless it now means a new tabernacle and cabin top repairs, a repair for the mainsail or a new one if not repairable, address any shroud and/or possible chainplate issues if any. If my assumptions are correct about the port shroud backing out of the turnbuckle then it should be a reminder to all of us to check those regularly and make sure they all have cotter pins or wire in place to prevent such things. Bummer.

The offer to be a tour guide to the breweries, wineries, distilleries, restaurants and music venues here in the center of the known universe sill stands!

Hey Wayne as mentioned above we are gunna be riding out the winter season up at Wintergreen. We do love our winter sports. Kinda thinking will be CBMSG before we are ready to host something at the boat but if folks wanna head to C'ville for a brewery tour of the area it doesn't take much to convince me!!

Peeked under the tarp over Mas today since i came off the mountain for some tasks and an evening of music tomorrow. Kinda imagined being at the helm!

Golly, maybe a mid winter gathering might have to be March next year. It was 80 degrees here back in late February and thought the winter season was done....but yet again another winter storm on the way.....might never want to come off of the mountain at this rate. Oh that's right, gotta get the boats ready for spring, except it refuses to be spring quite yet. Wintergreen officially closed their slopes for the season on Sunday, but they are seriously considering reopening them after this next round of snow. Winter Storm Watch already in effect, bring it on!

A little view of a cross trail to a double black slope last Tuesday after the last snow here. Bob hopefully ur getting a chance too use that x-country equipment. The only thing the golf course on the mountain is being used for right now is x-country skiing.  :)

Guess i should not be so selfish about all of this snow and pretending spring is not really here, since it is tomorrow (along with more snow!) and then it'll be summer and we all know what that brings.......CBMSG 3.0, August 4. Can taste the cold drinks, and hear the stories already.

We also will need to welcome a new Compac owner of a sweet 16! She is pretty excited about her new to her and first boat. No worries Bob, gunna collect the fee for ya! Have included a pic of the proud new owner and her boat! See i can actually keep boats the topic....sort of.  :)
