"You realize they charge extra if you sail more than 4 days a week."
"You get underway in 7 minutes. I've timed you!"

There's something sweet about trouble-free simplicity... and we've found it, CPYOs.

Last year at the start of the SML 50K race that Citroen Dave and I sailed my 19 in, as we passed the start/finish buoy, One of the race volunteers shouted "Prettiest boat in the race!".  In that group of sailboats were Hunters, J-boats, a Beneteau, and several large yachts.

You should have seen those Smith Mountain Lake Butterflies fluttering around and being knocked down while Tim's CP19 shouldered through those three  storms . . .

"Catalinas" you say?  Well, it's maybe not for nothing that Danny, the guy who runs the sailing school in the park I keep my Com-Pac 16 "Foundling" in, is all over me to get her splashed in a month or two with him aboard...And he has at least half a dozen Catalinas of various sorts, and a Bristol besides.  He even offered to help patch up her tattered Genoa.  Yep, they sure are pretty little gals, ain't they?

When I was trailering my 19 more often, my 30 minute rigging process at the ramp almost always stretched to 45 minutes (or more) because of all the people who stopped by to admire the boat and ask about her. There is really something about a Com-Pac that charms and engages people, even those who aren't sailors or aren't familiar with these boats.
