Replacement manual sink pump?

My manual hand pump no longer does the one thing it is supposed to do (pump).  I searched the forum and saw that some people have replaced it with electric pumps but I would like to stick with manual.  The parts list I got from Com-Pac lists the replacement as the "Rocket Hand Pump" but there is no way that would fit under the rear bulkhead on my CP23 (i.e. would not allow the sink to slide back).  When I measure it looks like only about 3.5" of clearance.  Here's the Rocket which is more like 8 - 10" above the counter:

Why would Com-Pac list that as a replacement?  And are there any other manual pumps that would work instead?

Just measured. That pump is 6.5 inches from the mounting surface to the highest point of the spout. Perhaps the spout needs to be turned a certain way when storing the galley.

Thanks for the measurement!  The paneling the sink slides under only gives 3.5" of clearance and that is all the way across the top of the sink and then some.  So turning the faucet is not going to help but appreciate the idea.

I don't know if this will work but it is what came stock in my 23IV.  It is a Fynnspray and I did not like it.  When it came time to rebuild, I went to pressure which only cost about $50 more than rebuild or replace manual.  The Fynnspray required a pumping motion that flared up my bursitis.

I must have more clearance for my sliding galley because I have more than 3.5".  I have to say that the conversion to pressure was one of the best mods I've done to my 23.  Link to the post about it.

One of the pictures shows the pump, strainer and plumbing.  Later on I added an accumulator.  It worked without it but with it the pump cycles less and the faucet does not surge and spurt.

IMHO - I don't like any of the hand pumps as they require one hand which is often needed to do the chore at hand. My 23 PH came with a foot pump for the galley and it is just fine for the purpose. If you go pressure, I recommend you get the smallest flow rate pump you can find. With a small water storage capacity, you can empty your tank rather quickly. I once had a friend with me who's turn it was to wash dishes (all 3 or 4 of them), and he emptied the 7 gallon tank.

When I bought my Eclipse the PO had replaced the pump with the stock pump from Com Pac.  It failed after the first summer, so I went on line and bought a Whale pump (same one that was in my Precision 21)  Everything lined up and it does the job it was designed to do - pump water!  Not sure where Com Pac buys their pumps but they seem to be on the marginal side, at best.

I am curious about why you don't want to go to water pressure.  As Brackish stated, it is a great modification.  I have a folding tap on mine and it was an easy upgrade.  It is about the same price as a pressurized water pump.
