A great big public thank you to Steve and Sarah for putting on such an enjoyable event.  Great group of Com Pac sailors, great venue (Carlyle Lake), good times on the water, and great social events made it a great 4 days.  I have put it on the list for 2017....   Thanks again Steve and Sarah - you made it great.    Carol and Al

let me take this opportunity to thank those sailors that attended this years CLR. although our turnout was down a bit, i will chalk it up as a success. the wind didn't co-operate this year but we all soldiered on. Matt, our resident racer, won each race. congrats to him. Rich came in second in each race. i think you guys should switch sails next year and see what happens. Chris got the axle grease award and again won the coveted Well Grounded Anchor trophy. those i talked with , however, would consider Chris the most improved sailor.  Dan's Suncat, Skyrocket, was voted the prettiest boat and he received probably the ugliest trophy i have ever seen. the awards dinner went very well. thanks to those who pitched in to help decorate. we all did our best to keep the legend of Gilligan's Island alive and well. the cornhole competition was tense this year with everyone in agreement that Brenda was head an shoulders over us all. yeah i know Al, you got better as the games wore on. anyway, i want everyone to know how special that week was for us. old friends and new (Al and Carol) make the event a success. it was nice that one night we sat and thought about all of the friendships spawned by a little thing like the CLR. my thanks and i hope to see you all next year

Yes, another great time at this years CLR. Steve and Sarah put on one fantastic get together and a good time was had by all.

Really sorry that after only one year of attending Linda and I couldn't make it this year.  Glad to have met everyone that attended last year and looking forward to (hopefully) seeing Mike and Brenda again down in Punta Gorda.  We were down there last week and didn't have much wind either.  Can't wait to see pictures from this year's event!  Anyone traveling down to PG, drop me a PM; perhaps Lin and I will be down at the same time and we can take you out on last year's "prettiest boat"!
