My 1985 CP-19 came with a CDI flexible furler 1 and is in need of a new Halyard.  The Halyard looks to be a braided 1/4" line that was fitted into black follower.  Has anyone replaced the 1/4" line only or can you buy the Halyard complete with follower.
Thanks

Sorry, I did read this post but can not get my head wrapped around the operation of a CDI flexible furler with that 1/4 inch halyard inside the plastic tube ...

My buddy has one on a CP-19 and he has to 'make it work', I can't help him. Usually there is a ton of line wrapped around the bottom at the headsail tac.

It's all so confusing.

You can easily order a replacement halyard from CDI. They sell them all the time since they all eventually wear out. It's an unusual design and I wouldn't recommend trying to invent a replacement on your own.

Thanks Wes
I have the 1989 assembly and operation guide that lists all the original part numbers.   CDI was located in Peabody Massachusetts but now is permanently closed.  I have a call into a CDI dealer who might help.
