Edmund Fitzgerald, as in Great Lakes Brewery?  Didn't realize that brewery sold beer out your way?  I was thinking they were mostly in the midwest.  If so, when Christmas comes around, try their Christmas Ale.  Delish....

Back on topic, I think you broke the record for most money spent on a boat without ever using her (OK, well at least here on this forum).
But, I bet the next prospective buyer will appreciate the care you gave her.

Yep, Bob drank the last Edmund Fitzgerald at Dockside at the winter gathering.  Southern Hospitality dictated that we needed to offer it to him.

Too funny.  It was so much fun to meet everyone.  I bet we could have one hell of a raft up if we could ever get everyone's boats together.

Could you imagine the craziness that would happen if we all chartered a catamaran or boat somewhere.  Good grief!  The place would never be the same.

Any of you thinking about the Annapolis Boat show?  That would be a good time to meet.

Well we have used her a little! Have enjoyed her ownership and will keep using her lil she finds a new home! It was worth it to simply be back into boats even if we realized she was not the boat we need at this point on our lives. A sweet boat though. :)

Well as far as a CBWSG goes imma kinda thinking we can find some time in July or August to make this happen. What say everyone? The Annapolis boat show is definitely fun but crowded. I will be at a music festival that weekend so Im out but that should not let everyone not go if that is what folks wish. Still thinking summer though.

Bob, i don't care if you drank the last of a beer. Someone had to do it!

Well this was the quote I meant to post with my last reply, but since i am talking about a CBMSG thought i would throw out a date of Sunday, August 7th or 14th and a gathering spot of Willaby's Restaurant in White Stone. It is very reasonably priced, lots of craft beers (maybe even one you can finish Bob!) and right on the water. Not far from our expanding fleet of boats! Google it.

there are dates in July that could work as well and I am assuming that weekends are the choice (we can do week days as well) and Sunday the choice of the two days? Saturday's work well for us too. Lunch was the time we met before, gotta love pushing the start time for drinking envelope!

July is pretty much out for me with the Blackburn (7/15-7/17), a surprise visit from our daughter on 7/09, CLR on 7/25 but I may leave on 7/23. August 7th is best. Let's do it...I promise not to hog all the beer!!

Mas

Ok...we got August 7th penciled in for a CBMSG. Imma thinking that Willaby's should allow, with it's location, a good meeting point. Do google it. Merrior is also close by but is more pricey and almost impossible to get tables without a good wait during the summer on weekends. What say ye other's?

Bob, we should allow PeterG to attend even if he is going over to the dark side! He's mumbling about a Ranger Tug and already has an antique motor launch! Heck if he gets one in time we can all get on board and ride over to Willaby's, yup that would do it! Still hoping to get up to the BBB but still much swirling around on that point in August. Working on it though.

Well i guess i should get back to topic since it is my topic. The owners of Interlude have accepted our post survey adjustment in price and she will soon become ours, thus No Mas is officially up for adoption. Yup we spend some treasure on her but it has been instructional and fun. She has such a history, and so much in comforts and upgrades that it at least makes us feel we have added to her continued example of one of the finest 23d's out there. Meanwhile we sail her! If you are interested in learning more please PM me. This thread will stay open for a bit as the CBMSG fleshes out but it will get bumped to the events section once we got something in focus. No Mas' adoption will get bumped to the classified section soon as well.

Truly getting No Mas has been worth it if not just for the chance to have met such a group as you guys! Meanwhile we will be taking a little "Interlude" for 90 NM in the next weekish.

My marina is on the intercoastal/river loop so there are always transients going one way or the other stopping for the night.  A few months back a mini flotilla of three Ranger Tugs came through and spent the night. I really liked them.  I have to say, pushing seventy with no one my age in my area still  interested in sailing it makes sense.  If there is to be another boat in my life a Ranger Tug will be a strong consideration.  I'll charter when I want to sail.

Bob23

Well, I'm gonna side with Pedro on this one. His Simmons Skiff is a real beauty and the Ranger tugs are perfect for an old guy like him!!!  :) Seems like lots of sailors go with Trawlers when they swallow the anchor.
Hope we can pull this one off, men. I can just taste the free Guinness now!!!
Bob23

Mas

Well there isn't really any taking sides! Whatever keeps you on the water. Our little marina is mostly all sail but the owner let's in trawlers and tugs. We got one there now! She's got a lot going for her. Quiet too, she left one morning while I was making coffee on board and I never even noticed her leave.

Ok back on topic, sort of, So no tug for us. We are starting a fleet! One PSC 31 "floataminium" (for a bit), one 23d, one sailing dinghy. Yup, gone overboard but smiling! Now where's that tug? :)

CBMSG?

Ok fellas (and gals) the ideas for a Chesapeake Bay Mid Summer Gathering, CBMSG, is going to the events section. I agree with Bob23, lets make this happen, can almost taste the beer!

Meanwhile the original topic is also best to move to the classified section as No Mas is now up for adoption.

See ya over there.

August 7 doesn't work for me.  Unfortunately I am probably working.

August is going to be a crazy month for me because I am teaching a class at the local Police Academy on the last week of July and another class for the second week in August.
