Capacity Certification

I was going through the Tampa Power Squadron website regarding Vessel Safety Checks and the resulting application of their compliance stickers. The thing is, they mention that a boat under 20 feet should have a capacity certification plate or documentation relating to passenger and equipment max loading. Is there something like that rearding the CP-19? I only seem to have the "Complies with Applicable Coast Guard Regulations At Date of Manufacture" sticker mounted low on the inner transom wall, but I can't seem to find anything else relating to something like this. Any ideas?

Hello, Johan,
Glad to hear your refit is moving along. In response to your question, vessel capacity certification does not apply to small sailboats.  Maybe the thinking was that if you overload them they wont sail very fast, so they are self-limiting. if anyone else here has another idea why, I'm sure they'll chime in.
Enjoy your Com Pac.

Ahhhh! Thanks Joe, I thought I read that somewhere (Chapmans perhaps?) but I just couldn't remember if sailboats were exempt, more or less...

We are getting real close to launching/christening Udara Tanda, perhaps in two weeks or so. The temperatures are still hotter'n hades on a cool day down here in Florida. And the winds are just starting to pick up, so the cool, crisp breezes should be coming soon.
