All right is appears i may have to call in my IMF group on this. (Improbable Mission Force)

So....Bob23, your 'other' woman might be more than necessary to bring if you are referring to the 23 foot long girl you have!

Also don't forget that Admirals are usually desk jockeys and it is up to the actual Commodores and Captains to gittr dun! Hope that you can crash this one.

Desk jockeys??!!??  Boy, this admin job is vastly misunderstood, and obviously not appreciated.  We work tirelessly to keep this forum up and running.

Why, I happen to have a picture of the 4 admins at work.  A thankless job, but somebody's gotta do it!

Well up early today before a trip to WWW and just saw this photo.....i must admit that floating and drinking simultaneously is a skill that i refined over the years captaining tubes on some of the rivers here. I am truly humbled by the work that is put into their jobs, the close quarter maneuvering skills, the flawless Tilley deployment. the coordinated loading of cruising ballast, I agree...inspirational! Now I believe that the mid-winter Chesapeake gathering may not have quite this much of an in-water approach, but ya never know once you start loading the 12oz ballast!

Couldn't even see a desk!

We were all standing on it! Just pretending to float.

Bob23

Correct me if I'm wrong Tim but wasn't that one of more stressful board meetings?

Tim Gardner

Most definitely my good man, could hardly stand up on the board.  I guess it would have be a snow board meeting at the CBMWG.

"We were all standing on it! Just pretending to float."

Ah...that explains much. At least it didn't look like a BORED meeting!

Bob, no problem on setting the record straight.  Folks need to know that this place just doesn't run on Lime Bites Plus alone.
No sir-ree!

Naw, will be on those kinda boards a lot this winter so thinking since i do have wetsuits from my WW paddling days.....
then again I do remember the feel of winter water with wetsuits. Don't even think the 12oz ballast will get me to purposefully jump into January Bay water!

I understand that there are some Compacs on St. Maarten, been in the water there in January, don't even need to stand on a desk!

When I was in college I was near Virginia Beach, VA.  We would surf all year long.  I never had more than a 32mm wetsuit.  COLD!!!!

I don't think that I would do that again.  I use to also sail a sunfish all year long, except when there was ice on the Potomac.

Ah, Mr. Heave:
   I hope that's a 3.2 mm wetsuit. 32 mm is about 1 1/4" (estimated)! Hahaha!!!!

HeaveToo

yes, 3.2  We use to call it a 32 wetsuit though.

Here in NJ we call that a 3-2. Hear the difference?  I also surfed all year long many moons ago and my son does the same today. I remember waking through snow to get in the water- true dedication. Not now...
