Is anyone heading to the Annapolis Sailboat Show this weekend?  It appears that Compac will be there with a beautiful dark blue hulled Compac 23.

I am thinking of heading down there on Friday.

I was gonna go but I usually go on Saturday. I may just pass and sail my own 23!

Not a bad idea, Bob.  Saturday I have a wedding to go to so that is out.  There are some things that I would like to see and I am also interested to see if Sailrite has the deal that it had in past shows on sunbrella.  I have half a mind to make a new bimini skin this winter if I can find the right price on Sunbrella.

I wouldn't mind building a new dodger skin but I actually want to change the frame out for the dodger.  I would like to make it cover the companionway better, sit a few inches higher, and also have a better connection for the connector so that it doesn't drip rain into the companionway.  The frame is the expensive thing and I don't think that I can bend my own frame.

Wouldn't mind having new Bimini Frame either.....All stainless steel so it is stronger.

This isn't listed on the exhibiters page.  Just curious how you heard this.  The exhibiters list shows Compac displaying three catboats,  but no CP23.

Yep, it was on a facebook page.

I can't believe what people pay for a brand new Compac 23.  It seems pricey for that size boat.  It is a well built boat, well laid out, and well designed, but still, that seems really steep.  I guess everything is pricey these days!

The classic lines are so appealing though.

Oh well, I am still thinking of going on Friday.  It is a neat experience but it also makes you want a bigger boat sometimes!  I would love to have an Island Packet, then again, who wouldn't!

I agree about the looks of the CP23.

What are they asking for a new one these days?

I'd have to buy a new car to tow the thing, making one even more expensive!  Good thing I'll keep my classic '83 CP16.

I'm curious....what Com-Pacs are at the show?
