Hey, all...

I sailed a Flying Scot for about 15 years,  but had to sell it to help with the downpayment when we built our house a few years ago.  It's time for another boat, was thinking another Scot, but really was wanting something a little bigger (I used to spend a lot of time on a Catalina 22).  Then I discovered Com Pac...specifically the Eclipse.  That might be the boat for us.

Anyway, I joined the forum to do some reading, learning, and ask a question or two.

I am in North Carolina, just down the road from Jordan Lake.  Back when I had my Flying Scot, I mostly sailed up at Kerr Lake (more drive time, but lots more water).

If anybody has an Eclipse in the area...I'd love to kick the tires and talk sometime.

Welcome and especially if you are interested in an Eclipse....  I have a 2007 Eclipse (hull #49).  I have had her for over a year now and love everything about how she trailers, sets-up, and sails.  Feel free to join the Eclipse forum on this web site.  Not a big group, but since there are only less than 90 of us, not bad.  Plus feel free to PM at any time with questions.  This is my 7th boat and the best.  Previous boat was a Precision 21 that I had for 13 years.  Again, welcome and fair winds.    Al (alsantini@comcast.net)  BTW, I sail in Florida during the winter and northern Illinois summers.

DP - Welcome aboard! If you'd like to see an Eclipse in fairly rough conditions, check out these videos from this past weekend on Barnegat Bay. Larry's boat did quite well and was very pleased with its performance, especially w/o a transom!
