Just hauled home a Com-Pac 23 Hull#219 with the help of Bob23!
First order of business... get all the wasps out! :)

Thanks Bob!

Feels great to be back!

Glad you have you back! A little known CPYOA factoid: Kev was the one who originally turned my onto this site so now you know who to blame!!!   We looked at this boat last week and just as I was getting ready to climb below, Kev noticed a small army of wasps. I'm highly allergic to those and had forgotten my Epipen. He could have saved my life because multiple stings might likely prove fatal.
Another little known fact: Kev is the original instigator of the Barnegat Bay Bash so I hope he'll join us this year if I ever get off my lazy ass and organize it! Congrats on the new ship, Kev. She's gonna be a beauty!

what a great guy that Bob23 is!   I have been counting my blessings everyday since arriving in Maine, but I will certainly be missing  the 2015 version of Barnegat Bay Bash...   whenever it may occur!     good luck with the new boat..  so much potential!   jt

Kev,

Looking forward to meeting you and your "new" CP23 at BBB-2015. I know you have a lot of work ahead of you. Hope you can make it. And thanks for saving Bob's life! Things wouldn't be the same without him.

Thanks for getting the ball rolling for the BBB's. This year will be my fourth! Every year proves to be an adventure. Can't wait. See, Bob, I told you it wasn't too early to start thinking about BBB-2015. I even have an idea for BBB-2015.1 (too much coffee!).

Bob says that the last weekend in September (25,26,27) works for him. Hopefully, Jason and Janet can figure out a way to attend. Boy, Maine is sure a long way off. Reply at Topic: BBB-2015 (Barnegat Bay Bash) in Group Outings and Com-Pac Events.

thanks for thinking of us, Marty..  i think we may have signed on through  the Columbus Day holiday...  Maine has been absolutely wonderful so far..  we are in the best shape that we have seen in a few years..  loving the outdoors..   doing a lot of biking and hiking... and some kayaking as well.    last week we headed south for a day trip and stopped in Belfast..  as we were poking around the waterfront, I saw a Flicka tied up .. had to go out and check it out.. met the owners...  lent a hand  putting their outboard on its bracket..  found out that they also own a compac 23!    so i gave them my name and number..  hope they will call to go sailing one of these days  :)

Probably won't make it back for BBB2015.. but we will be there in spirit..   if anyone happens to be heading north to Maine ( Bar Harbor area) , feel free to get in touch, we would be happy to invite you to a campfire..    jt

Pretty small lake to sail in behind your house. I bet you tack better than most 😁
