Just installed a small gismo from the Mastgate.com guy that makes hardware sized to fit your boat mast; you havr to give him info on make, model, year, and then measurements of mast slot opening length, width, depth,ext--
using a business card and marker .
So - reefing is even easier as you never will again have to pull out sail slugs, or deal with the sail stop ; turning nob twisting to tighten, loosen, and then trying not to drop out of mast slot.
See pic of my boom being held up by the Quick Release Track stop , more pic later of close-up.

Fail to see gizmo in photo. The boom looks as though it is held up by the topping life.

Sorry, I should specify that it holds boom at mast, and can slide very quickly, I will post a close up later.

Could you contact me on the side? I am interested in your Bimini dimensions or source. Jcatkeson@aol.com

You can probably get a bimini direct from Compac.  That and a dodger.  It is a factory option, as I have heard.

I have a bimini, dodger, and connector.  I love them but I think that I will use the current ones as patterns and fabricate new ones down the road.  I want to make some improvements, especially on the dodger and connector.

If you have an okay sewing machine and a little skill, you can get kits from sailrite to make them.  I would suggest getting stainless steel frames if you have the option...much stronger.
