This boat looks like a pretty good deal for someone.

Congratulations on the new boat.  Good luck with it.

Welcome from another Mississippi 23 owner.  I hope, by the end of the year, to be on the coast.  Currently looking at properties.

AGII,

There are repair parts available for your Whale Gusher pump.

A manual pump is a good thing to have on occasion.

Agree with Tim - rebuilding your Whale with new diaphragm and rubber seals is an easy and inexpensive project. My 1988 was totally dry-rotted inside when I got it opened up. Yikes!

Glad I could help another MS guy out.  I lived in Pontotoc, MS. for many years, and I still have a lot of family there.  AGII is looking good.  If you can, try to make it up to CLR at the end of July.  Look up CLR on this site to see what it is all about.  Welcome to the site.

Thanks all, appreciate the advice and kind words.

(Brackish, we are north of Baton Rouge, and have been looking for a retirement place on the coast since Katrina, and have learned to first get an insurance quote on anything we fancy looking at ! )

Yep, I'm currently looking at a lot that is 26' above MLW and is outside of the velocity 1 zone.  When I lived down there 30 years ago I didn't even know what those terms meant.:)

Chris, I'm in  Tupelo and have many friends in Pontotoc.

Brandon Weatherly, Reed Nunnelly and my son Jack played in a blue grass band together for a few years before they all went to different colleges.  Brandon's uncle Jim, whom I've never met is a pro in the music business.  Any relation?

Jim Weatherly is my dads 2nd cousin.  Brandon, I believe, is his brother Shan's boy.

It is a small world.  When the boys were young, I coached ball with Shan for a season.
