I read somewhere in this forum about mounting a compass so comfort in seating was not hindered.  I use a small plotting GPS on my Suncat, but my backup compass is ready.   Put two flathead st. stl. screwa in drop board slibe, low on port side.  screws protrude about 1/4". Then I filed the 2 mounting holes in the gimbal base to a "keyhole" shape.  To mount compass, slip base over the screw heads and pull down.  Works really well.   I keep compass in a Crown Royal bag for safekeeping.   Johnny Walker
