Where would one purchase Shroud stays for my compac 16

I think that is the name of what I'm looking for but after a google search I can't find them.

18" long aluminum tubes.

Spreaders.

You can buy from hutchins, or from dwyer mast company.

My CP-16 model A does not have spreaders at all--do later models have them?  I wouldn't want you to replace a part that you're assuming is missing when there never was one!  :-)

Gretchen:
I believe the later models did have 'em. But not being a 16 guy, I couldn't tell you when they were added.

Adkbaja,

You can thank your lucky stars that you don't have to mess with rigging or tuning a DOUBLE Spreader Rig.

Can't add any source to what has already been correctly suggested. Hope you find what you need.

Depending on size and set of your headsails, recommend you consider adding Spreader Boots or the equivalent to the outboard ends to protect your headsails against chafe.

Sail safely.
