 In negotiations to buy a 2005 horizon cat. Any issues for that year or in general I should be aware of?

Other than the alert on the HC section of the forum not too much. Does it have the foiled rudder? A definite plus. Just check other normal items: Sails, motor,fiberglass,fittings, etc.

Is the foiled rudder an aftermarket thing, or is it a current standard item?

Foiled rudder is now standard. Not sure what year it was adopted.
