Stereo Install

I installed an stereo in my Compac 23 today.  Here are the details:

I bought a Kenwood unit.  It is compatible with my iPhone so it will play the music off of it and charge.  It also has a remote control.

I bought two DUAL speakers (they are supposed to be water proof.  I found a unique way of installing them so they are pretty close to being out of the way.:

It was a bit of a job because running the wires was fun.  It took about 50 feet of speaker wire.  The sound quality is excellent through and I like being able to use my iphone directly into it.  I have a 10' USB cable to iPhone 5 attachment coming so I will be able to control all from the cockpit.

I bought two of these devices, one for home and one for the boat.  You can use the Bluetooth connection from your phone or tablet and then jack it into the auxiliary input of the stereo.  You can pair up anybody's phone and play tunes wirelessly.  Sometimes it's a little quirky to get paired, but after you do it works great. I can stream from my phone about 25-30' away.
