I finally sold my stinkpot and went back to a real boat (sail) After having a stroke in '98 I gave up and bought a pontoon boat so I would have a big flat platform under me. I have now gotten back to where I can motivate ona real boat. I found this little CP 16/3 at a local marina and grabbed it. My wife likes the CP so well she wrote the check! It is simple to responsive to her touch and she loved it. I figure if the Admerial likes it, go for it. 36 years ago when we started sailing we had a MacGregor Venture 17 which althougth a cheaper boat it was the right size and was as forgiving a boat as a new sailor could get. I feel like we may not have moved up in size but we have in Quality. And to find a message board for my boat is the second good thing to happen. Like many others I also am on the Latts and Atts board as member # 00097 so I'll be on both plus the Florida board. I don't get on to much because as the sign says "I'd rather be sailing"

Welcome aboard.  I also have owned a Venture 17 and now have a CP16.  Your comments are right on track with my own experience.
