well that was one %$#&^ of a winter to say the least. today with 70 degrees and what looks to be a light easterly wind, we are taking the 16 out to carlyle lake. been so long (or seems so) that i feel i will have to learn how to sail all over again. maybe we will see some white pelicans and i think ill take my camera. hope everyone else above the mason dixon line is getting out as well ------fair winds and calm waters to you all------oh, and come to the rendezvous in july. its a hoot and a holler

fyi----we sailed yesterday as planned. the wind was light but a few times we made 3 knots or so, anyway the lake is in great shape with very little debris and the ramps and docks at hazlett are perfect. cant wait until next time.

Glad you made it out on the water! The first sail of the season is always a memorable one. Glad all went well...I haven't made it out yet; my boat is still under cover and will be for a few weeks.
One of my traditions on the first sail is to offer a small beer offering to the bay in celebration of winters end. Any beer will do but Pabst has been the beer of choice for this occasion.
