Dodger for CP23

This topic has come up several times (I have searched for it *many* times) and the question is never answered.

I will preface this by saying that I have a CP23 (now) and live up in the Pacific Northwest and sail on Puget Sound, whenever I can. This includes the winter. It is one thing to be sitting in the cockpit and having some chilly wind make you put on your coat-hood. Quite another to be motoring against a 10-20kt wind and a 2-4 ft chop and it bestows upon you the great present a part of many Pacific Northwest Sailors existence: a good amount of seawater soaking.

Sometimes, iffen you have a hike-out stick on your tiller (like Skip) or an autopilot, (I have both - LOVE my autohelm 1000) then you can lean your back against the cabin and sort of "hunker-down". This usually happens anyway after the first wave of water hits you.
The winter-time temperature of the water in South Puget Sound (I live near Olympia) is 47.5deg. Last weekend, the temps were about at freezing.
I know that some thoughts/questions/answers are:
"Are you nuts? This is winter. Time to put the babe up".
"Dumb dumb, try not sailing".
"Exposure suits work well..."
etc etc.
Well Let me get back to the original question: What are the measurements for a Dodger for a CP23?
I have seen a nice one on "No Mas" but I don't see him on the board very often.
Are there any out there for sale?
Are there any out there that are not being used and you need them "removed immediately"? I can help you with that! <grin>

I can tell you that sailing up here is very special. It is gorgeous, the snow-capped mountain views from the water are stunning. The sea life (seals and sea lions, birds and sometimes whales) are close. It drives me to go whenever I can get out there.

Thanks,
Shawn F

Shawn:
As I'm also in the market for a doger for my 23, I will be checking this thread. I found one maker here:

I believe they have the measurements for our 23's.

I have seen this one too. Looked through a couple of their examples. Nice. However, if they charge $2000 or more, this is half what the boat costs! I guess I am a cheap bast@rd but that really urks me. Got a good motor. I can see paying some $ for a good motor; you are going to use it up here. I got my 8hp long-shaft Tohatsu for $1000 and I put a charging coil on for less that $200 myself.

I might do a kit from Sailrite but I want to know the dimensions first from someone who has one.

Wow! 2000 clams is a lot! Let me know what you find out in your dodger quest.
