Just got back from 4 days in Door County with Wrinkles and her friend (Hunter 235) and we had a blast.  Here is a link to a little sailing video.  We'll write up a short recap in the next couple of days.

Who says Com-Pacs are slow?  We had a reef in the main and a few turns in on the headsail while going 5.3 to 5.9 knots.

Thanks for sharing that video, Mike. I really like the pennant with Wrinkles name on it. Also looking forward to the story. Compac's slow? Hmm...This weekend on the way back from the Bash in very light air I was only just slightly beaten by a something or other 44. And I was pulling Little Fellow the not so famous 2nd place racing dingy!

B and I wrote up a summary of our Door County trip.  We're going to be lazy and just post the link here.

Aug. 16, 2013 ... this weekend Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
U S P S  boat club Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin to Marinette-Menominee, Wisconsin-Michigan.
We'll have about 23 boats making the trip. I'll anchor off Green Island Friday night.
Might swim ashore and clean off the little girl's head stone. It becomes covered up with weeds.
Sail about like a lost soul on Saturday, arrive Sat. late afternoon for steak, drinks with the group.
Sail back to Sturgeon Bay under spinnaker hitting the home dock at dusk. It's going to be perfect weather.
High pressure moving in, S-S/W winds 10 to 15 knots, seas 1.5 to 3.0 foot. Temp, 50 deg F to 84 deg F.
Lots of sun.

skip.
