I had planned to come over Thursday evening but we are going to slide that back to Friday AM.  We gain an hour coming over so that will certainly help.

Not sure if the wife can make it with me on Friday, but I was wondering how kid friendly the group is (I have been around some groups that were not kid appropriate) in case my 18 yo daughter wanted to come with me.

MacGyver

I would say very kid friendly, My friend and his wife will be joining us for a couple days to sail with us, and when they asked me what kind of group it was I described this get together as the most laid back, fun time, that I have had with people that share a common interest: ComPacs.

The language is clean, people are kind, and the time is fun. Bring her along and bring swim wear and towels, because usually we sail around then anchor out somewhere and swim, shoot the bull, and then sail back to have a meal.

Great time to ask others questions, see others boats, and make new friends.

All rain has been taken out of the forecast this weekend totally (there was a slight chance, glad to see that go away.)

And my cursed friend and his wife have finally broken his curse the other day, so that shouldnt be a problem on the days he sails with us.  ;D ;D ;D

See ya Wednesday Salty!

My wife has just informed me of a potential conflict for Friday (I am working on it) - what is on the CLR agenda for Saturday if I end up coming then?

kickingbug1

saturday we usually meet at the marina and get ready for the big race (which consists of motoring out in front of the damn and when everyone is in a group i sound and airhorn to signal everyone to raise sails and race to the finish which is right in front of Coles creek on the east side of the lake. there we raft up for some swimming and lying about who finished where. after a while wind permitting everyone heads out for a day of sailing and we meet back at the marina club room for the party (this year will be Italian beef sandwiches, vegatables and salad and hopefully desert if someone brings it. there will be brandy slushes, beer some jack tennessee honey and maybe some mohitos and soda. this is the awards dinner and "sailing hats and flowered shirts can be worn. dont miss it.
