I am about to install some new "C" track on the gunwales for my jib and genoa cars.

However, I am having a hard time deciding which fasteners to use.

Clearly I need a true flat head to avoid contacting the bottom of the cars as they slide on the track but what size?

The heads on 10-32 Flat Head Machine Screws seem a little bit too large and 8-32s are definitely too small.

Metric FH screws are worse.  They are definitely much too lardge or too small.

Maybe, when I tighten the 10-32s thay will sink into the beveled hole more and fit correctly.  I just don't know.

Does anyone have experience with installing Ronstan 19mm "C" track or know what size fastener Ronstan specifies?

Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Counter sunk, stainless steel, 10-32 machine screws with caladium plated flat washers and nuts... I think that's going to match the drilled holes in the 'C' rail.

Start in THE MIDDLE of the track and work out from both ends because the 'C' rail will have to conform to the sheer [curve] of the hull.

A little shot of your favorite goop in each hole will seal it up.

If a counter sunk 10-32 is still too high above the track you'll have to re counter sink the 'T' rail for a flush fit.

I would also consider fender washers as a backing bar for each hole along with the flat washer [I don't know if they come that small]. You should not need a locking washer.

I believe mine are what your talking about.
I used 10 sized oval head machine for the track.
Flat head would give you a little more room......not much obviously.

Used lock nuts and #10 fender washers. Also sealed mine down with butyl tape.
