Pleased to say that the transport problem from Dunedin to Central FL has been overcome and the boat is now at a marina for bottom cleaning and motor servicing and should be at Tavares marina on Lake Dora within a couple of weeks, so very excited!
Although I have the RYA Competent Crew certification, that was almost 20 years ago so I am very much regarding myself as a newbie (I'm 67). I will be taking an ASA course very soon as soon as my schedule permits, but I was wondering if there are any sailors in the vicinity of Tavares that would be interested in joining me for an occasional sail on Lake Dora and offer some of your experience!
I'm keen to learn and have even arranged a crew/training trip on a sail boat coming down the east coast in the Fall.
Thank you
Bob
