I sail a Com-Pac 16/2. Have any of you rigged your boat so you can fly a cruising spinnaker while the main is furled? If so, what kind of rigging works best?

I am currently working this out for my CP-16 MK 1. I will add another block on the mast above the forstay. This will give me a spin halyard. I plan to use an ATN Tacker for the tack and run it as designed over the roller furled jib. Sheets will run to the stern cleats. It should prove to be a very simple setup.

The company that makes those spinnaker chute scoops also has a very pricey 'collar' that wraps around a furled headsail and that provides the tac for a asymmetrical spinnaker. I guess the collar is tied down to something at the deck. The clew just runs back to the stern cleat. It would be easy to make one.

Note: You still need to go forward to use this thing.
