 Hey Sailors!
When I first got the boat home  I took this video of the mast going up.  I simply tie a clove hitch around the mast, run the line through the bow cleat and then through the port jib cleat.  Raise, pull line and cleat. done.  
I learned from the video to tighten the  bolt a little more to keep side tilt down.
