First Dog Max enjoys a sunny sail on the Pamlico River near Bath, NC yesterday. 46 degrees, 8 knot winds, nobody else out there but the seagulls. 30 minutes later it was gray, colder, blowing harder, and we reefed on the water while beating home to the marina. That's December sailing in North Carolina.

That dog is having an, "Ahhhhhhhhh" moment.  Boy he looks satisfied with his nose in the breeze.  Maybe one of you sailors who have a doggy sailing partner could start a thread on them.  It would be fun to see all the different puppies/kitty's in the wind.  Our black lab "Bubba" passed away a couple of years ago, so no sailing pooch for us to enjoy.

Our Siberian Husky while being a great dog, won't go near the water. She downright hates it. Must have been early on when she was a pup and fell of the bow of my old Seapearl 21. I've tried to reason with her that the Compac 23 is much more stable but she'll have no part of sailing.
Wes: That is such a good shot that it could (and should) be used on the Compac Yachts website. You oughta send it to 'em.

Logan was never a sailor but he loved to hang at the dock.
A guest vacationing in Door County took this picture of Logan before we went sailing later that afternoon.

I agree with Mike.  Looks like she's working on a "tan".  Completely as ease.

Yes, pictures of your sailing buddies , dogs , cats or other pets would be interesting to see and read about.

Having 3 Great Danes, I always wanted one to sail with me, they just did not like being around the boat, strange because they loved to ride in the cars, especially in my 67 ford mustang convertible .
