It was a warm December night and the no see ems were starving but that didn't stop one of the finest Southern traditions - Boca Ciega Yacht Clubs 27th Annual Christmas Parade.  There were 28 boats both power and sail that toured Boca Ciega Bay.

It s the closest I have ever been to being a rock star. The parade route goes by hundreds of fans crowding the beaches and piers of the area all cheering wildly.  Many of the coastal towns put on these parades some a very large others consist of a bunch of lighted canoes and kayaks on the Hillsborough River in Tampa.

We couldn t participate in the parade this year but I did make a video of it.  It s a long one so put another log on the fire

Matt:
Although it's been 2 weeks since you posted the Christmas Parade video, I just now viewed it and THANK YOU...it was great! I'd have loved to be there! Some of those guys really go all out. It was worth every minute and a fitting time because today I decommision Koinoina from her duty as this years Christmas light centerpiece.
