Great Idea you Crazy Carl!

I will try to do that in the next few days, and post a pic.
Just talked to my buddy and he said it would be best to probably do Screen printing on the shirts, So they will most likely be solid color stuff.

This means the shirts will hold up a long time :D

I will see what I can do in the program, I need the highest sized picture you have, the better the quality, the better the lines come into the program.

years ago in my youth i was an artist (well college art student). i will put a couple of things together and get them to you jason. i think it would be nice to use the com-pac logo on the front (pocket area) with the main graffic on the back (like a couple of years ago). this would necessitate contacting hutchins to get permission. should not be a problem. again we are flexible on the dates as long as we have some advance notice----mainly for the winery.

I will run up a design, and also totally open to your designs Steve, It would be nice to have several designs done up and make sure they will all work on our equipment then take a vote.

I just vectorized Carl's Line drawing, and it came through and is clear after a little work on the vectorizors part.

Any other line drawings? I am trying to develop a idea I have........

I figure once I know what we will utilize then would be the time to ask Hutchins since we wont be asking for every logo they have, we would be able to be more specific.

i figure i could do a drawing with a 16,19,eclipse and 23 under sail. ill make it about the size of what you typically see on the back of a t shirt.

another thing to think about is a night sail. it was great fun on mike and brendas 19 "miss bs haven" a couple of years ago. i will have mine wired for lights for the clr.

Kicknbug!  An artist!  You're pullin' our halyards!!!

I love the idea of showing all the boat types in attendance. I'm sure whatever you guys come up with look awesome.

Jason, maybe you could whip up some personalized polos for those that want one.

Name of boat on left breast. Maybe an outline with Compac xx on the sleeve?
Or name on sleeve, logo on front?

Hutchins will let us use the logo. But yes do ask to be polite, tell him it's for the Carlyle lake Rendezvous as he's aware of the event. I've sent him the DVD's in years past, and he's donated hats at each event. Should probably ask him for hats again too (I'll ask him closer to the event). Based on the sunburned pictures of Jason, I think you might need one  ;D 8)

Those CLR koozies we had made had the logo, Gerry said no problem too. We still have more to give away, no need to make more unless you really want to.

Having access to that stuff, why not?

I'm with you Salty.  I am speechless.   Our Kicknbug has a touchy feely side!

Kickinbug, That would be great, and actually if you could do a line drawing of each boat, minus them all together would be better, in the program one day at my house (2 miles from marina) we can organize it all together and do what your wanting.
BUT if you want to make it all together on one sheet, no problem either, just do it on a 8 and a half by eleven sheet, preferrably card stock if possible, it will scan better in the scanner.

Salty, I can do all of that actually, and am working on a setup as we speak. My neighbors grandson is a MX racer  (11 years old! really rippin up the track and catching pretty solid attention from what I have seen!) and they want hoodies, shirts, etc.
Was at the shop the other night and started to learn this set of product line. So how far I can push things is yet to be known. BUT we can do full color stuff on shirts and all that.
Screen printed stuff requires a screen charge, and a minimum run, so depending on what is done will depend on process.

Steve an R-Teest?

That would explain the eccentric side of him.

What other traits is he concealing from us?

I can only assume, judging his actions, he's also a stand-up comic, sings Barbra Streisand songs in the shower, and wears pantyhose under his jeans.

Just an observation...

crazy, but not as crazy as steve, carl

A video of "THE" launching would have been impossible to get.  Between the gut wrenching laughter the swimming and the sprinting to the jetty portions of "THE" launch, I don't believe anyone could have shot video.

Maybe Carl (with Steve's active participation) will recreate it again in 2013 so we can get it on video.

I did run across an old picture of Steve from CLR 2011, when he was sporting the artist's look.  Ooh La La!

A crazy pageant? A CRAZY PAGEANT? Oh, c'mon...this sounds soooo inviting. Too inviting. Maybe I'll have my 16 by then...been looking around for a steal, any condition.
Sounds like you guys wrote the book on launching and for there not to be a video, is a disservice to your fellow Compac-o-nauts!

launching does seem to require water wings at the very least and the coastguard at the most. hopefully this year a video might be shot. carl make sure you have that bowsprit decorated with a folding chair.

Bob23,

You need not bring your own boat to attend CLR.  You'd be welcome to sail on any of our's.

With a legend such as yourself in attendance, I'm sure a crowd will gather to catch a glimpse.

Of course, you would have to bring along your dingy to show Mike who's the real rowing champion!  ;)

What do you mean "real" rowing champion. Squint the Famous Racing Dinghy and I are the official CLR champions.  We won fair and square.  Bob and his backyard rowing thingy didn't show up and I won by default.

I offered the infamous Bob the tiller on Wrinkles last year.  No luck!  VIP type - waiting for more perks I bet.  Of course after seeing the way we pick on each other he is probably smart to stay clear of us CLR'ers.
