Did you ever wonder if there's anyone in the area sailing a Com-Pac, someone who might want to share an afternoon sail or an evening raft  roundup talking about our favorite boats?  Well, soon you can find those sailors!

This Fall we at //www.com-pacowners.comhave a new feature to announce.  Starting about a month ago, the CPYOA added a new on-line Virtual Owner's Registry that displays a map where owners can post photos of their boats.

This Google add-on already has more than 50 owners who have posted their locations, and many also included great photos of their boats.  All you have to do is go to the CPYOA home page at www.com-pacowners.com and click on the "Where Are We" link at the bottom.  A map opens up with a bunch of little pushpins.  You can click on them and see who's in the area or sign up yourself if you haven't already.   It's a great way to share the sense of community we all have and make it easy to link up with a neighbor or fellow com-pac sailor travelling through.   Best of all it's all free!

We've also been doing a bit of housekeeping to get the CPYOA Forum on a more stable footing, both in terms of the software and forum maintenance.  Thanks to CaptK (Kurt) for the webhosting maintenance.  In addition, we've gathered together a group of moderators who are all experienced Com-pac owners and have contributed frequently to the forum.   We have CP-16 owners Craig and Gil W  who will be faciliting the CP-16 area of the forum,  Marcus G who owns both a CP-16 and CP-19 will be the moderator of the CP-19 forum.  CaptK, who lived aboard his CP-23 will handle the CP-23 and 25 areas, and Steve P a CP-27 owner will handle the big boats.
We could still use help in all areas, but particularly anyone who wants to help moderate the Cat boat forums.  Our goal is to have the Forums moderated by skippers who actually sail the boats in those forums.  All of these sailors together will help steer the CPYOA and keep it afloat for all our enjoyment and future Com-pac Sailers.

Don't forget to check out the Classified and Image Gallery and come back often!
