Twisted!!!

During the last few trips to and from the launch sites we were getting a low pitched vibration from the trailer.  I was really getting concerned about those little 10" tires and I checked them frequently but all seemed fine.
Yesterday on the interstate it got so bad that we could feel the vibration in the car.
So we pulled into the next service area, undid the big ratchet strap that we put across the cockpit and replaced it putting a half  twist on each side.   Problem solved!  No noise or vibration at highway speeds.
     So much for being tidy!

Happy Sailing....

MacGyver

We had a semi truck driver deliver a big boat out here and he told us a similar story. The 6 inche straps were hummin so bad he heard it in tthe cab!
He told another guy that same story before us and that guy had been hauling his own, he ignored it and had damage since he didnt pad it whereit goes over, it acted like a knife and the vibration had it cutting into the gelcoat.

Amazing how one twist makes the difference
