I saw a 23/3 on a trailer at All Seasons Marina, Lake Norman, North Carolina.  Anyone on this forum?

mrtoad,

can you give us a little summary of sailing lake norman?

thanks, bill in nc

mrtoad

spring and fall are nice - wind nice - - the power boats come memorial day and leave labor day - one hour from valdese

summer - hot humid  and little wind

beautiful lake - plenty of room to move about - a few restaurants - public access

i know real well two marinas - one where boat is docked and one where work is done - both very friendly and helpful -

in addition very active yacht club

if you have more specific questions - i will try to answer - ""we need to get together at lake james - now, that is a beautiful lake""

shamblin

Sorry.  Too hot for me to go sailing.  I'm going to wait till the first mid-80's day.

So you keep your boat at another marina?  My boat is at the end of dock 2 sitting in a finger slip.  It's been there for 15 years.

Bill, mrtoad gave a good summary of the lake.  I'm retired so I avoid the lake on weekends but even on the weekends there's lots of room to sail.  I prefer the fall and have even sailed into the winter months when it's not too cold.  Just me and the geese.  ;)
