drove down to clinton lake for a day sail.  friday night the forecast was 7-10mph winds, we were lucky to have a breeze every now and then.

enjoy, or don't.  it's my 1st attempt at editing.

Carl and Joan,

You didn't miss any wind by not coming up to Lake Mendota as you first planned.  We had zip for wind all weekend.  Are you using your new GoPro video cam?  What did you think of the lake?

Great video Carl.  What model Gopro and what mount do you have?

crazycarl

the lake is not bad for sailing.  its narrow and shaped like a boomerang.  it's another of illinois's cooling lakes for a nuclear power plant. just around the bend from the marina is a beach and restaurant.
they have a very active sailing club there.

we've sailed it before and spent the night.

the gopro is the original hero, and i was using the suction cup mount.  (i also had it tied to a stanchion, just in case)

i also have the rail mount which works good.
