no leaks

Had the 81 C16, out for its 1st post-fix-up voyage. Took her out on okauchee lake here in SE Wisconsin.  All the pre-work on sealing potential leaks paid off....bone dry.  Also, 11lb claw anchor on the bow roller worked great.  Reverse gear was handy at the launch on the 4hp outboard, but in general the sails were more reliable than the motor!  After the first sail, I'm very glad I selected this model of sailboat.  Not a rocketship, but stout and enjoyable. Lifelines and cabin top rails were very handy for the family.   also was pleased how well the shoal keel managed in this inland lake.  Looking forward to getting her out on lake Michigan this summer.

Anyone know a good rigger in Milwaukee (swaging ss life lines) ?

Hey Jason, glad to hear you love you 16! Although I've never owned one, I did have oscasion to sail aboard one and still have my eye out for one near me (NJ). And glad she's dry. I've always been a firm believer that the waterline belongs on the outside of the boat!

Jason - You made a really good choice with the CP16, I really love mine and try to get her bottom wet as often as possible. I hope Bob finds his 16, I haven't yet seen his 23, but I understand that it's simply gorgeous. Bob, just keep on looking... past Pegasus, of course. She's not for sale! But, maybe I can find you a nice old 245.
