..Secure in the knowledge that the plastic pad eye supplied with my forespar whisker pole will eventually break, I went looking for an alternative..

From the sailboat junkyard.   five bucks plus three bucks postage.  Now to score a piece of track.:)

Your purchase must have put that site out of business.  I've tried to view it several times only to get "Store closed for maintenance" announcements.

I noticed that, they were down for a week or so then came back for a couple of days, then back down.  I sent them an email about ten days ago asking if they had any track that would fit and never heard back.
